Hi Amy, thank you for your kind words about
our community!! There are lots of us that work very hard to try to keep it a good place to come!
Were you detoxing much? For someone that has likely had these infections for 20 years to only be able to tolerate 6 weeks of treatment, that pretty much screams detoxing issues to me. I used abx first and was determined to be an abx failure, but I also didn't know about
detoxing back then (2007) - but no one really did. We know so much more now!! This is one of the best sites for detoxing ideas:
www.tiredoflyme.com/detox-methods.html The rest of the things that you listed. C.pneumonia, Mycoplasma, high histamines, and so on are connected to having Lyme and company for many of us.
It's my opinion that it's best to treat whatever infection is "on top" - producing the most or the most severe symptoms, but always watching for the "next" infection to pop up with symptoms as well.
I'll be interested to know what your doc thinks the next best step will be for you, but do be sure they understand the need for detox. To help you with that, here are some articles that should help:
www.benbrew.com/lb/lyme5.pdfwww.benbrew.com/lb/lb.html#sideeffects - scroll down to the "Side effects of antibiotic treatment"
