What is the treatment using light to cleanse the blood?

Can anyone tell me what this is about? My LLMD is considering starting something that uses light to kill germs in the blood stream. He says some clinics on the west coast are using it with good success against lyme.

You basically get a port installed and once a week for a few weeks you get hooked up and your blood circulates out the port through the light apparatus and back in through the port. Sorry that is such a lame explanation but it's all that I can remember. Can't even remember the name of the thing. I tried to look it up when I remembered more but couldn't find anything. It's supposed to be about 250.00 a treatment.

He said he's applied to have it in his office and it's experimental or something. Does anyone know anything about such a thing?

And if it did cleanse the blood how would that affect the cyst form or any that were hiding in the cells? I just don't get why such a thing would work for lyme.

It's called UV light therapy and its relatively new, some people at my office get it. I don't hear much negative or positive yet

Do the people you know get it for lyme treatment or something else?

There are a few of us on the forum who have / are doing it. Read Into the light by William Campbell Douglas for a good explanation. You can read an exerpt on Amazon.

Yes. But I couldn't keep going as often as needed to keep pressing it all. It live too far and it is pricey. So I am doing the Bruner protocol and unearthing the crud and going every other week to mop up. I used to get a terrible herx. I still do, but not quite as intense. I am hoping that means the germ load is down.
