WELL....
Brief history. Sick 2 1/2 yrs, seen by 23 drs, finally diagnosed with Lyme July 2015. Treated by LLMD antibiotics by mouth then IV for 3 months. Couldn't continue care due to cost.
My primary dr referred me to a neurologist who is currently treating me with Gamma Globulin infusions every 8 weeks. Round 2 Monday-Friday next week. No improvement. Tappering me off Gralise 1800mgs for nerve pain-also not working but causing major confusion (WHICH I ALREADY HAD) and unable to drive. HE DOES NOT BELIEVE IN LYME AND WOULD NOT LOOK AT MY TEST RESULTS. Actually referring me to ANOTHER neurologist for confusion, memory loss. BUT she treats lyme and takes insurance. HOPEFUL.
Anyways...I have bad numbness feet, tingling, pain, sometimes feels like I'm walking on nails. Very difficult to ambulate at times. NOW I have same in hands. I'm dropping things, I have stabbed myself with scissors, shish kabob skewers, crushed a light bulb in my hand, broke a candle, fell and couldn't get up due to not feeling hands unable to put pressure on them. I feel like I cant judge strength or force and over compensate resulting in injury.
ANY SUGGESTIONS. I told my neurologist, but he doesn't listen to me. and did not address it.
