My sauna arrived this morning before I left for work! Looking forward to jumping in the hot box tonight.
My question is how hot and long should my first session be?
I've heard so many positive things about
this and how it can ultimately help heal these infections.
Does anyone have any success stories with a sauna and Bart and Lyme?

JAdams85 -
Nice! I love my sauna - I got mine in May 2014 and use it 2x's a week at least for 30min at 120-130 degrees. At first I would get what I call "sauna hangover" because I would have a headache after. Especially when I was on ABX. No longer on ABX so just detox and diet to maintain.
You can always start at a lower heat and work your way up but I do recommend the full 30 min. You can try it at 100 and then work up to your comfort level. I also do hot yoga 2x's a week so I'm used to the heat.
Stay in-tune with your body, don't push yourself and try to relax. This is your time to heal.
Good luck and enjoy!

Incredible. I sweated more just now than I ever have working out! I did 140 degrees for 30 minutes - and sat completely inside the sauna.
Is it okay to do this every night?

I would slow down on every night at first-maybe try every other and se how you fel.
If you have trouble breaking into a sweat try taking some kelp-I have no clue why
that works but it does.
Congrats on taking a good step in the right direction

That's great!
I love my sauna. I have to do a higher temperature to really sweat.
I usually do 30min at 130F, now I'm leaning more towards 140-145.
My doctor recommended 3x a week. I personally take that as a minimum. For you just see what's too much. If you feel better doing it every other day but herxing @6X per week, do it every other day.
If you can tolerate 5-7 times a week go for it. Stay hydrated though. It's so easy to dehydrate doing this daily.
You can take a glass water bottle in with you, not a bad thing to consider.

Congrats on the sauna!
Which ones do you all have? I love mine too! I have a celebration sauna. I am so impressed that you have the heat up so high? I usually do 120 for an hour. However, I've discovered a trick. Since it takes me so long to sweat, I do an Epsom salt bath first and heat up my muscles. I sweat so fast and the detox continues.

I really want one. Looking into the best brands that are also reasonable enough to purchase. Would love any feedback about
brands. I looked at the Sunlighten site but they don't post the prices. I mostly need a two person size with low emission or toxic materials.

Hold on!! Those saunas need to be off gassed (aired out) or you could push some of those chemicals into your skin while you are in there. This would set you back, depending on how long you used it.
You also must be sure to drink more water than you believe you need. From what I've read from those that use them, you need to be sipping water even while in the sauna possibly.
You don't need to do is be dehydrated on top of everything else.

Yes - what Traveler said about
water. I make sure to make a very large glass of ice water in with me and finish it while I'm in there. I then drink another one after. I drink a lot of water during the day to stay hydrated for sauna evenings. I'm not sure about
everyday use - that would depend on how you feel. You know your body best. I treat it like the gym, a day off during the week helps you repair.

Traveler... Do you mean hold off using it until the sauna airs out from packaging? Or do you mean after I actually use it from detoxing?

I have a Sunlighten. i also looked at Rocky Mountain brand.
Watch EBay and Craigslist. I bought mine barely used for half price!!
By air out he means turn it on, let it heat up, then
open the door and let it air out. There shouldn't be any chemicals or anything to off gas but you never know. By doing this if anything does come out of the wood, it doesn't go into you.
I would do that maybe 3-4 times. I'm not really sure what's recommended with this.

I use my sauna every other day. I put it on 150 and stay in it for about
an hour. Break some good sweat out. I find it very helpful for detoxing...

We are all different and I do not recommend someone getting in a sauna every day for an hour right from getting it from the store.
It is a detox method and needs to be worked up to just like any detox method. Overdoing can cause you to herx badly!
Just warning others to avoid them some pain.
