I am 26 years old. I have no period, and I haven't for a few years. I get it once every 4 months MAYBE. I'm sorry that your period is late. I get it once every 4 months MAYBE. My LLMD has told me that lyme will mess up the menstrual cycle. So will candida. Not sure if nystatin would cause this, but if there is a die-off then maybe.
I am with you - I have no idea if this is all caused by lyme, or by candida. Some of my earliest symptoms were all candida related, such as itching skin, mild rashes/dematitis on my eyelids, stomach pain after eating gluten, getting drunk quickly off of beer. However, these are all lyme symptoms, as well (I think).
I've also had a chronic post-nasal drip for almost three years (developed when I was VERY sick in China on a research trip with a cough and fever). Candida? Lyme?
I have taken diflucan for a month now, and I still have sinus drainage, and I still have no period. However, my hands are not going numb at night anymore…which is interesting. Unfortunately I also changed up my abc regimen at the same time, so I don't know which is helping. I wish I had answers for you!
For candida: Diflucan should help, and I use coconut oil - a few tbs per day. I do coconut oil pulling (gross at first, but it works for detox. For yeast infections (I've had two with antibiotic treatment), I literally insert coconut oil. I also take colloidal silver which supposedly helps with candida.
Try not to eat sugar - it's so hard. I know people say that candida will cause sugar cravings, and I'm sure it will. But I also think something has to be said for the fact that sugar is delicious, so most people do enjoy eating it whether or not they have candida!
