We are pleased to announce that PeteZa is joining the Lyme Mod Squad.
Let's all welcome her in her new role. She already does a fantastic job providing support - but now it will be in an 'official' role.
Thank you so much PeteZa!

Thanks PeteZa (and other mods) for being here for us while you work on your own health.......being a mod is a big responsibility as it is....but being a mod who is working on healing his/her body while helping others is just the most giving act of kindness I can think of.
I think often of how there have to be days you are struggling yourself and feeling ill, while sitting at the computer welcoming a newbie and being a cheerleader, calming fears, answering questions for the millionth time :)
Anyway......thanks to all of you

I am trying to reach Missyran1 to ask some questions. I could use some assistance. I would like to get information about
doctors in Florida. Thank you for your assistance.

You all are so sweet. I came here just like everyone else. I was looking for information that I could trust. Not just internet hocus pocus. I met wonderful informed people and I thought, wow how awesome that they are paying it forward. I have not been here long but I care..... I am a huge empathetic person and I feel your hurts. Probably because I have had my own. I hope to help those like I was helped.
I am really a happy fun loving person that loves to laugh, giggle and goof off. Lyme hit me hard and took away my joy for awhile. It is hard to smile and hurt. It is hard to be the fun bunny when you hurt. It is all coming back. I am healing well. I did have a conversation with my husband about
taking this mod position on because I feel guilty that I feel well. I cried and said, "it isn't fair that I feel so well and others are hurting so badly." Being the wise man that he is, he said, "people need to see you and have hope and courage to keep on."
I hope I help someone.

Yes, your hubby is a wise man.
I'm like you - I feel others' pain. I cry a lot reading some of the more desperate posts.
No one understands the pain/anguish that comes with this disease...unless they have or had it.

Gosh, I cried when I read what your husband told you. Really, those of us who are struggling DO need you and others who have healed, to give us hope and a solid belief that we can heal. God knows I desperately need to keep hearing it, especially as of late. Feel like I'm hitting roadblocks with my treatment but I have to keep going. Sigh
Congratulations peteza and a big hug to you on your new status. You are great and always there for us. Thank you for all of your help!! Very well deserved :D

Congrats Peteza! Thank you for all the support and advice you have already offered. And I have to agree with your husband--it's really helpful to have someone who has gone through this nightmare and actually healed from it.
