Doxy and Biaxin causing heart palpitations

You know I've been doing some studying up on whether Doxy or Biaxin can cause heart palpitations and while its rare it does seem that at least 3-5% do experience this side effect. I'm wondering if I'm one of those few, you know just like the few that get bit and infected by a tick!

I did a little test today and only took 1 100mg Doxy at dinner (skipping my AM dose). Heart palpitations was definitely better. Now that doesn't prove it isn't less bug die off cause usually the heart racing leads to lymph node swelling than to numbness in extremities but also wondering if I'm having a side effect as well.

Anyone else have heart racing issues when on Doxy or Biaxin? Thanks

That's exactly what I want to know when I feel bad. Is it the med? The infection? Or is it die off? Jeez, I wish I had a good answer for you.

I had palps with the Doxy. And I was leaning more towards the side that it was die off instead of the actual med. Bc it seemed like it got better with really good detoxing. But, who knows at this point? That was just my guess.

I'll attempt Doxy again soon.

I got heart problems with Doxy and Biaxin but I could not say for sure that it was them or lyme. Because when I concluded my stint with those two drugs and moved onto herbs I still had heart involvement. I am pretty sure that lyme affected my heart and it took awhile for me to figure it out.

It ended up a combination of herbs and the time in treatment and finally I can say my heart has mellowed out. Finally!!
