Did she warn you that you would feel this way?
If not, You should call her. She put you in this position and you should make her aware of the symptoms you are having.
Doctors need to feel responsible for the outcome of their instructions. Especially if those instructions were incomplete.
Did she even mention detoxing?

I hope the ice packs give you some relief.
Last summer I was swimming in a cold mountain lake and it felt so good.

Does getting into a cool shower help at all? It will pass so don't be too scared although these dang symptoms are scary at times.

Yes you can get better,
How?
Knowing it will take a long
time, patience
getting rid of toxins,
detox
cutting back on doses
(Which maybe you should do now)
so your body can catch up,
don't overload

Carla-
Are you gluten free? And I mean checking every label, etc? Even cross contamination in a restaurant can cause a flare. And once you are exposed, it can inflame your system for up to 6 months.
The reason I ask is because I would feel like my whole body was on fire and I had what I called a "phantom fever" . I felt feverish but had below normal temps when I consumed gluten. I would also wake up in the middle of the night with my heart racing like I was having a panic attack and my stomach was in pain.
Gluten causes horrible inflammation. I have taken supps to detox from heavy metals and did not have inflammation problems but everyone is different.

Carla,
Typically when it feels like our body is on fire that's nerve pain and that's aggravated by inflammation. As Lymie mom said gluten is a huge inflammatory as is dairy. Avoid all gluten and dairy (except dairy from goats, so you can have cheese made from goats milk).
A high quality Omega 3 will help with inflammation. The one that's recommended by Lyme nutritionists most often is Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega. You can take 6 capsules twice a day. Zyflamend by New Chapter is a natural anti inflammatory that works. You can take both of these with abx's or herbs.

until this nerve pain hit..I could read my body pretty good until 2 years ago..just didn't know all of this may be lyme..I knew something wasn't right but doctors didn't really want to do anything but give me antidepressants..I sure which I had pushed then..and looked more at the big picture the way I am now....does the nerve pain ever go away...

Yes it does, as you lower your toxin load. The pain will lower and you will be aware of other symptoms the pain masked. Being able to feel the other symptoms will help you and your LLMD better treat your co infections.
