I have so far been feeling better, but I still get weird sweats... I've had this every since Lyme, I treated for Babesia for only one month because my insurance only covered it for a month... I felt like I had a reaction to the mepron (herx), I came across Atremisia (wormwood) at a health food store, isn't this used for Babesia? Wondering if I should try it, my doctor is some what literate with herbs but I also take Zoloft and ativan (rarely)

I was tested for Babesia only through quest, and only Microti (I think) and it was negative. But I've had the red dots and sweats which I heard was caused by Babesia.

It is artemisia and yes, it is sometimes prescribed for babesia.

Please take it in small doses and see if you are allergic to it.

I was tested way before I ever got lyme and I am allergic to it. I obviously have stayed away from it.

Some people take Artemisia (whole herb) or Artemisinin (active constituent).


I have recently started Artemisinin. pulsing 4 days on and 10 days off.

Do you have drenching sweats? And are they daily...several times daily?

I also have some sweats - but they're not drenching...so my LLND has been thinking that I don't have Babesia - but it's from my hormones being out of kilter.
I decided to order the Artemisinin and try on mown.

What other symptoms do you think are from Babesia?

They aren't drenching now but have been in the past, or if I'm herxing... even on diflucan for Candida, I think my hormones are out of whack too and that could be the culprit... I used to have daily sweats also

The only other reason I think babesia is because when I started zithromax and mepron, I got weird chest congestion and coughing, sweats, I don't know it was hard to explain... it was respiratory but different, my heart was beating fast on it also but I'm not sure... I thought I would give it a try and see if I reacted to it.

What causes the weird red dots? I was told Babesia? It's not a rash either

The red dots can be from babesia, but bart can cause them, too. I still have a ton of them on my arms, but aside from that, I don't think I have any more babesia symptoms. Who knows? These things all behave so similarly.

I use whole herb artemesia. I don't get many of the "red dot rashes" except during a bad Babs herx last time, but those darned sweats (daily or almost daily) and sometimes some air hunger I do have. I'm not treating Babesia right now, but last time when I turned from treating Bart and started on treating Babesia, my symptoms hit pretty hard.
