My LLMD ordered another CMV virus test. It came back negative, but the numbers where higher than the test done in Dec. IGG .24 IGM.17 - the new test IGG .54 IGM .41. Is this normal?

There should be reference ranges that are on that test as well. We need to see those.

I found this from Quest labs, but I don't know if that's who was used for your tests:
"≤0.90 Negative-No CMV IgG Antibody detected" for both the IgM and the IgG of the test

So for this example, your test values are insignificant as they are so far below the .90 value.

Yes, they were thru Quest. I just don't understand. I know the cut-off is >= .90, but why is even the IGM going up? There is definitely antibodies detected, just not above .90

I believe that it's normal for the values to move around a bit as the immune system is doing all it can to keep it under control. It's just that it's not considered active or something if the values are below .9

Sorry - I'm herxing and the right words are not easy for me to find today!! blush
