when I got lyme I got tinnitus and "full" feeling ears. My ears felt like I had just change elevation and they would not pop.
Treatment got mine settled down and I swear it was the Japanese Knotweed. But right after that I started Red Root, so sometimes I wonder if it was the lymph nodes that were swollen and causing inflammation too close to my ear?????
Bumping so PeteZa can see your post but I just wanted to suggest that I agree 100% that inflammation and swollen nodes play a strong role in tinnitus. In fact, my lyme-friendly neurologist stated that inflammation is the main source of most neuro pain and discomfort, including the tinnitus.
I haven't had much success in reducing mine (although I strongly encourage you to try JK and red root - they have helped reduce node swelling and other inflammation for me) and all of a sudden, mine diminished somewhat last week... not sure why other than I've had ore caffeine lately (caffeine constricts blood vessels so WRT blood flow in the head, this might also help reduce the tinnitus pressure).
Also - with fullness and stabbing pain in the ears - double check to be sure you don't also have a yeast/fungal overgrowth - as these can be symptoms of overgrowth. So many symptoms overlap between lyme & co and y/f overgrowth - it's tough to tell which is which, sometimes.
