A young Virginia Tech researcher developed a urine test for lyme - "using nanoparticals to concentrate Lyme Disease protein fragments in the urine and concentrate those for a diagnostic test."

sounds interesting... developed by Temple Douglas but no info in the article about access.

Someone shared some info about a urine test for Lyme awhile back but I don't remember details. I found this:

And now wonder if it was actually Temple Douglas' efforts being recognized back then.

I took a urine test for Lyme that was basically the same thing.
Came back negative despite multiple tests saying otherwise taken from blood. My doctor said the urine test wasn't reliable anyway....which I was confused why he wanted me to take it in the first place. Lol

I JUST GOT a test kit to do a urine collection that looks for traces on DNA of the spirochetes....does that sound like your urine test?

sweetpeaisme -What lab did you get the test kit from? Igenex has a urine PCR test -


The PCR test detects the presence of the DNA of the Lyme bacteria.

The best test is the Igenex Lyme Western Blot Igm and IgG for $210.

You can call Igenex and order the kit. Then you need a Dr. to sign the lab req...take it to a lab and have the blood draw - send to Igenex via Fedex.
