Please help - need advice for teen daughter

Good evening everyone I haven't been on the form in a while because my Lyme has been feeling OK!
I am however discouraged because for many years I have wondered if my daughter herself also has Lyme disease
I took her to the doctor they been a lot of blood work and didn't find anything or co-infection she's had weird symptoms growing up from irregular periods to headaches to tonsillectomy hormonal issues Dr. thinking she has polycystic ovary syndrome but nothing ever adds up it's always a fitting a diagnosis because of her symptoms

I say how is it that such a young child could have all the sporadic different systemic issues in her little body ?

So now I run Ikelea she had strep throat and she was put on amoxicillin 875 mg she's never been on a high dose like that before And lo and behold about five days into it she comes to me and tells me mommy the palms of my hands are itchy and I feel like there NOM and tingling all the way to my fingertips my feet are getting that way too but not as bad as my hands !!

two days after that she came to me to tell me that she's getting itchy skin and after she scratches these tiny little bumps appear and then they disappear as fast as they appeared and reappear when she gets itchy again her arms or legs her back her butt talks it is the weirdest thing in the world !!!

is there anyone on here reading this that has said similar issues with them selves or their children I have a list of things that have been going on with her body since 2010 at least and I know for a fact when she was five into thousand and five I pulled a tick out of her stomach not knowing what to do back then I let it go she had no problems no symptoms no complaints she was a kid now what 😪

first thing you gotta do - find a pediatric LLMD near you! Or will your own current LLMD treat her? (if you have one) - sorry, I don't know your story!

all my kids had lyme, and very minimal symptoms - trust your instincts. Those "side effects" of amoxicillin sound like herx like reactions to me.

I agree w/ Denikeef - her reaction to amox also sounds like an allergic reaction. But the other dysfunction is pretty suspicious. I firmly believe that if there's anyone in the family dx with lyme (especially moms) that others should be evaluated as well (especially kiddos).

I don't know if you mean she has already been tested for lyme & co? If not, you probably already know that an IGeneX test is going to be the most accurate. If she has already tested "negative" - get copies of the tests as already mentioned, and if you choose to retest, perhaps "provoke" a more accurate immune response by giving her olive leaf extract for 4-5 wks before retesting. We've had some good discussions about that here with good results. It certainly helped me get a CDC-positive WB.

about her periods--I'm sure there is a great deal more going on but I have found that detoxing has really smoothed out my period symptoms. So regardless of the lyme & co situation that is something you can try to help with that detoxing process (our periods are a type of detoxing for us).

To clarify a little bit I did not start to think she might have lime until I myself was diagnosed in 2012 I had a bite on my back after my second child was born when this daughter I'm speaking of who 16 now what's 12 so thinking about myself and then as she progressed to her teens 1314 15 she started having weird things like these:

She has taken amoxicillin before not such a high dose and always in the form of that bubblegum drink liquid I should say not the pills

Also ironically my LL M.D. who is in New York Mount Kisco area had a nurse practitioner with him who left his practice and went to a pediatric specialist further up the line who my daughter now sees there she basically was the one to treat me with my Llmd was unavailable so I trust her with all my heart

also reading the list of symptoms, boy does that sound lymie.

Funny bc when I read all symptoms together I think Lyme. She also has weight issues all of a sudden gains a lot and these tiny pink stretch mark looking marks on her thigh area that seem out of place

Hmmm so I wonder IF it's a die off after all these years of battling the doctors.. If the blood would show positive now ..

My insurance pays for labcorp only but My Llmd uses enzo..

I was gonna test her awhile ago for igenex but truth is I wasn't sure what to do... Now I feel I have to. Do u know what I should ask for. I remember the tests being way confusing ! My insurance will reimburse 80% after my deductible so not the worst case scenario. Thank u!
