I've had them for months and months now.
Though, I feel it is worth noting, a little backstory, that, for the longest time, there were very few of them, and they would only show up very infrequently. I'd find one or two on my arms or legs every couple of weeks or so.
Then, there was a period where I had a ton of them on the tops of my feet.. constantly, but, after applying some Thieves oil for a few days, they disappeared.
Part of me had thought it was just a coincidence. But, eventually, I stopped using the oil, right? Then, a few months later, again, the petechiae returned to the tops of my feet. Again, I used the oil, and they left.
Same coincidence? I don't know.
Now, present day, recently, I've started using the essential oils again, but this time they seem to be having the opposite effect, at least as far as the red dots.
I've been getting more of them, more consistently. It's not like a ton, but enough to notice regularly, on a daily basis.
I'm really curious what it means..
I experience herxing and flares from the oils, but I have my doubts about whether or not they're killing enough off to make a difference, or just stirring the pot.
I'd really like for them to be doing some damage, because they've been about the strongest, most reliable of the antimicrobials for me.
I've had bad experiences with things working, then not working, within a short period of time. There have been times where I've started a tincture or something, had a whopper of a reaction for a few days, and then it's like there's absolutely no effect. They just fall right off the map.
Granted, I have had a similar experience with the oils. The first few days back on them, I was dead. But, after that, things really tamed out. But, the difference, they still have a noticeable effect. Not something I've gotten from other products.
Because of that, I feel they need to be a central part of my treatment. I'd just like to know why it is that they as well as everything else I've tried has went in this direction - works well, then doesn't or just works sort of "meh."
It can't be a matter of dosing, because I take the recommended amounts, even more in some cases. It can't be detoxing. I've wondered what effect biofilms would have on oils' effectiveness. I imagine biofilm as a sort of oil in itself. You'd think they'd mix well. Either that, or, kind of relevant, I've been looking into some basic skincare measures, and there's this thing called oil cleansing.. where you take one oil (say, mineral) to break up the oil on your face. That said, I don't know if it's biofilms.
Dunnnnoooo.. I'm kind of digressing here.. a lot. Sorry.
Yeah, I get them. I don't know why, which coinfection.
