Hi iHadLyme!-
Welcome to our community! Are you still dealing with Lyme disease? Or are you in remission?
If you are still dealing with Lyme, I hope you stay around. There are a lot of friendly and knowledgeable people here. Feel free to ask any question that you might have. We all try our best to help.
Hello. I first noticed the rash on August 8th 2015 after hiking in Maine. It was not a bullseye, but rather a large bruise that extended from mid hip to mid rib cage. I didn't even consider Lyme disease at the time. Doctors didn't seem to know what it was. After being misdiagnosed (Mono), I eventually saw an infectious disease specialist in January 2016 who gave me a one month prescript
ion of doxycycline. I did not feel any better after the antibiotics and became very scared and depressed. Suddenly and without warning I began feeling better about
one month ago. So, yes, you can say I am in remission. I like reading and discussing Lyme because it had such a negative effect on my life for several months. I also want people to know that recovery is possible.
