Lyme sufferer-
Glucosamine, chondroitin and msm are very common. Any place has this, including retail pharmacies/ drug stores / grocery stores / walmart. They are primarily for joint tissue support- not nerves. It does work to some extent IN the joints. It will not help muscles around the joints though. Does noting for nerve damage.
I've had long term tendon and muscle pain , still do, just less. And my complete left side is worse than my right. I believe its left over scar tissue and adhesion's, from repeated athletic injuries I'd get from lyme - which does not just heal on its own, even after the bacteria load is less.
That said, after a year on ABX, I'm less likely to develop new injuries or sore areas. Just trying to fix the old ones is enough!
The only success I've had is by learning triggerpoint release, extremely deep massage to break up scar tissue, and I'm trying dry needling which is less, but deeper needles than acupuncture performed by a physical therapist.
