Kinda understand this one a little, why are the white blood counts and the lymphs so different?

It's not often people get a positive test from Quest. The thought is that they don't allow enough time for the very slow growing Borrelia (Lyme) bacteria before they evaluate - but I've not called them to verify this.

The CD57 isn't a very good test for finding out if we have Lyme - or anything else for that matter other than HIV. No one knows for sure what all affects these values, so while one person that has a very low CD57 can be and feel pretty healthy, someone that is completely bed ridden can have a near normal CD57.

I had a Quest test and was negative but I had so many symptoms. I wanted a more reliable test that I felt good with so I went to Igenex. I was then diagnosed as positive.

Had a tick bite, a bullseye rash that manifested at the doctors office and a long stay in the hospital as a pre-schooler. Hashimoto's, TPO over 1,000, and adrenal insufficiency in the early '03. Acquired c-diff at a hospital, then sibo in '13 and went down hill from there. My whole body trembles. Has for many years.

Right now, TPO is 32 yay!, but never had Thyroglobulin antibodies before and now it's 10, range , < or = 1. Also, tested high for Epstein Barr virus.

You got me hunting through my blood results. LLMD did do a CD57 six weeks before the above tests. Interesting! WBCs and Lymphs were both the same on both tests. But, the absolutes have gone down. Go figure...

If these tests aren't showing anything substantial and the test we're still waiting on is a bust, I'll spring for the $200 test y'all recommend. His hands are tied with the insurance agency and any little bit of knowledge I can pass to him is a bonus.

Blood tests aren't very reliable, and from the reading I've done, it seems like the deeper in the system it is, then the less likely it is to show up. If you had a tick bite with a bulls eye rash, you at one time had an active infection. Some say it can be completely eradicated, some say not, my own personal guess is, not. When my score was up at 90 I think, I realized, stupid to not take action. Began with someone's suggestion here to begin some herbs.

That is a long time to have LD...and not be treated...

I'm sure you've read Traveler's story? 40+ years she went untreated...and put LD in remission.
