Planny - are you willing to share what the first one wasn't 'doing'?
Was he/she not treating for co-infections.....or?
The first one was treating me for Babesia with Mepron( Babesia) but then I started feeling so poorly, we stopped everything but doxy... continued doxy for 2.5 months than started cowden... but on cowden I climbed up to 10 drops a day and then ended up at the ER with atrial fibrillation...
After the visit in ER- it was on March-30 of 2016, I did not take anything but 2 drops of Enula, Samento and Pinella and Burbur. I continued all of my supplements...
The other problem was with previous doctor- it was very hard to get to see him and everytime I needed to pull information out... I thought he was supposed to treat me and not me suggesting things...Plus, he did not say anything about
continuing( starting over) treating co-infections..e..t.c
Doxy helped, at least I am not dying from headaches everyday that I had for over a year 24/7.... Headaches are much easier on me now... SO, something did work.
Anyway, I am starting everything over...
Mepron in liquid form... starting with 1.4 of a teaspoon, plus Nystatin 2/day
Then in 2 weeks Omniceft
Then later on Biaxin...
I asked for how long- she said it will depend on how would I feel.
I definitely deal with bart and babesia... daily sweats, muscular and joint pain, foot pain, dizzy, sometimes nauseated, shaky for no reason, buzzing in left leg, brain fog is still an issue numb hands and sometimes legs in the morning.
I did learn to do a lot of detox from Traveller but was easy on it because I was afraid another ER visit with AFib... Not fun... had tones of tests from cardiologists and except extra beats and skipped beats, everything seems to be OK. SO, I am assuming, Babesia is doing weird things to my body...
Started acupuncture, which should be helping to ease the symptoms...
I also got a lot of new supplements... Trying them out now...
Now I am thinking- where to get a money machine as well? ;-)
This new doctor treats lyme only. Member of ILADS, highly recommended by her patient.
Patient went from being in a wheel chair and now a full time student somewhere in NY.
If oral antibiotics would not work, I will consider pic line... Ugh...
