Healing power of prayer

This isn't about religion or anything, but we all have things to be thankful for in our lives. With something as awful feeling as lyme it is easy to get stuck in a negative feedback loop and lose sight of the beauty that's there each and every day. Don't underestimate the healing power of gratitude. Set aside a few minutes a day and offer up to the universe what you're grateful for. God is an artist who appreciates his audience and admiration brings it's own sort of restoration.

I had an awful headache and woozy feeling all afternoon. I could not sleep it off, i could not stand to sit up right. I was quite agitated. A thunderstorm rolled in so i sat on the porch to watch it. I heard it's rumble and thought "who am I to be blessed with such wonderful sounds". I saw the vibrant patterns in the leaves of the trees and the chirps of the birds and crickets. I heard the rustle of the wind and remembered that the world is nothing more than an orchestration. A score that started some time ago and will finish sometime in the future, and all that matters is how I choose to feel the music. I spent about 30 minutes verbally giving thanks for every color and shape and sound. For every feeling. For my experiences and where I've been and where I am and where I'm going. I found every little thing I'm grateful for and offered them up from the deepest wells of my being. My headache immediately disappeared, my body went calm. I watched mosquitoes furiously buzz around me but they would not bite. Occasionally they would land on my clothes or on a strand of hair looking at ease and I let them be. As our brain communicates with our liver and our liver our brain, so does our being communicate with the external world and the external world with our being. Don't underestimate the power of the conversation you offer it. Everything is in tune with what your being is saying. Life depends on it. And if you choose not to believe that, it is at the very least a great daily reminder of the love you have and not just the fear and pain this illness brings out in us.

I am quite literally glowing and thought I would take that energy to share. To all on this journey I offer my love as I have been given an abundance. Thank you for your continued inputs and offerings in this community. Thank you for your listening and respect. This post is a modest offering back to you all in hopes it helps at least one or two who struggle to see the light. Best of wishes

I swam in a lake this morning with only fishermen on the shores and a few ducks in the water. It was so peaceful. I gave many a thanks.

Taking the time to be thankful for a good day, beautiful colors, the loves in our lives, a cool breeze...it all serves to remind us that not everything in life need be dismal. Thank you for the reminder and thank God for the blessings, even when they are small!

I havent been on much lately because of primarily too many neuro things going on with head and ears but through the really rough times I have asked the Lord above for strength and he has yet to let me down as I am still here...
