Which is the best way to take cyst buster (Flagyl/Tindi)

Currently I take abx Clindamycin and Minocycline. I am on them for 3 months. I was undiagnosed 5 years.

I think that my protocol is not enough and I need to add some cyst buster. I thought about Flagyl or Tindi.

1. When should I add cyst buster? Is now right time - being in treatment for 3 months?

2. How to take it? Should I take it for a short period and then make a break? Or I should pulse it and how to do it?

3. I read Wheldon Protocol about pulsing. www.cpnhelp.org/treatment_protocols
Could I take it like this for Lyme, would it be effective? It makes sense just I am not sure if it would be good for Borelia, as it is made for chlamidia.

I hope you understand my concerns, my brain is not working so well these days and I can’t ask my LLMD for advice as I am out of financial resources at the moment due to family problems.

I think now is a good time.

I would pulse it.
My LLND prescribed it for me to take it any two days a week - 500 mg twice a day. (and the two days can change from week to week)

Another LLMD whose protocols I have been reading about prescribes it to be taken Th and F of each week.

I wouldn't do the 5 days a week of Flagyl or Tinidazole....but some people do take it everyday.

Research has shown Flagyl to cause cancer in mice/rats (bladder cancer I think)
Tinidazole is in the same class as Flagyl.

So, I don't want to take either one for any longer than necessary...so two days a week is what I do.

In January, I stared Minocycline250/Tinidozole 500 mg every other day. Then in May, my LLMD bumped the Tinidozole down to 250 mg and told me to take it on on alternate days of the minocycline. That is where I am at right now. Going to the doctor tomorrow...

The naturopath he works with likes Cat's claw for biofilms...

Yes, it looks like Tinidazole is good for biofilms and cysts...

I am going to go back on the serrapeptase for the biofilms anyway...and pulse the Tindamax for the cysts (the serra won't work on the cysts)

I like the idea of two days in a row. When I go back on, that's what I'm going to do.

I checked my bottle of Tindi and it doesn't say empty stomach or food...and I can't remember what my LLND told the it was prescribed.

I googled it...and it looks like it should be taken with food.

And what about other abx? Is it necessary to pulse them as well?
Actually my question is is it possible to pulse just one abx - Flagyl/Tindi?

My LLND had me take the other antibiotics every day, and only pulse the tindamax.


lately I have been 'going rogue' and following what THE Dr. J. does...and that is pulse everything. i told my LLND about it, and he said it was fine to do that...lol. He's easy going.

A protocol might look like this: Minocycline and Rifampin M/W/F and Ceftin Th/F Sat and Sun off.
Do that for 2 weeks, take a week off.

But, I have also seen that he has some patients start off with daily dosing for several weeks...before doing the above pulsing regimen.

I would pulse the tinidazole for a few months. If I'm remembering correctly, my LLND wanted me on it for 3 months.

Yes, you can just pulse the Flagyl or Tindi.

I pulse tini... Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 1000mg. Besides my other antibiotics.
Just started last week and I think that I'm on my way to beat it now. Grate improvement. Crossing my fingers.

Yes. I took Doxy, azithromycin, rifa for 2 1/2 months. Now pulsing Hydroxychloroquine, smz, Clarithromycin mon to wede. Tinidazole 500m 2x day Thursday to Saturday. Cholestyramine everyday to get rid of the toxins. I really think that I will get better now... hoping for it

Anyone have long term success with tinidazole. I had some but never took it. Just curious if what's being expected in theory is playing out in reality.

Girlie I am not sure about some things, please help me:

so, if I pulse just Tindi, I take it every week without a break, or I take it 2 weeks and then take a week off?

And if I chose daily regimen for several weeks, how long that daily regimen should be before I start pulsing?

And in each case I take 2 times per day 500mg?

Even with the daily dosing for several weeks - I would still pulse the Tinidazole two days a week.- just the others daily. (hope that makes sense)

That was what my LLND instructed me to do. So, I did Ceftin everyday of the week, and pulsed Tinidazole Th/F.




I have also done Rifampin/Biaxin M/W/F and Tinidazole Th/F. Sat and Sun off.


There are so many variations of pulsing.

I think I understand now. My Lyme brain sometimes doesn't want to cooperate, you know.

Is it possible to take herbs when taking this?

Yes, you can take herbs with the antibiotics.


Don't start them all together, though...you need to do one thing at a time.

I pulse with flagyl three days every other week 500 mg. I have to take it with a very rich meal to avoid stomach pain.

shanna, if I understood you well, you take it once daily 500mg?
