BBM - Tindamax has a fairly long half-life -approx 12-14 hours...so there will still be a high concentration in your blood 2-3 hours later.
Flagyl is shorter - 8 hours approx. but still high concentration 2-3 hours later.
I have been putting my tinctures in hot water...letting them sit for awhile - hoping the alcohol will dissipate, but not sure if that even works.
NOTE: My LLND knew I was on Buhner herbs when he prescribed Tindamax...so not sure if there's enough alcohol in the amount of herbs I was taking to cause adverse effects with the Tindamax. I didn't know this about
tindamax so never asked him.
I did a check with the Drug Interaction Report:
/www.drugs.com/drug_interactions.phpethanol tinidazole
Applies to: Alcohol (contained in alcoholic beverages) (ethanol), tinidazole
Ask your doctor before using ethanol together with tinidazole. Do not drink alcohol while you are taking tinidazole and for at least 3 days after you stop taking it. You may have unpleasant side effects such as fast heartbeats, warmth or redness under your skin, tingly feeling, nausea, and vomiting. Check your food and medicine labels to be sure these products do not contain alcohol. It is important to tell your doctor about
all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
