Lyme not effected by a thing....

When a person has decreased lyme symptom systematically in a cycle of tot number of days, and during treatment, what do you think it means? This feeling better can even reach up to 21-28 days....it hits exactly the mark of spirochete reproduction.

since I never assume the treatment is working. I believe the spirochete has adjusted to the hostile environment and has found a way to protect itself.
This is what I think happens to me. If I understand about the spirochete lifecycle. There is a stage of the spirochete that is basically a self-induced coma that allows them to live minimally until the environment is better.

Any takes on this theory? This makes it extremely difficult to figure out treatment whether is working or not. Lets take herxing for example....you might have herx once, twice or many more times...eventually the herx subdue because the spirochete has figure out a way to survived the attack. Can the spirochete get used to heat levels as well??
This is a question I ask myself many times....at times in the lyme lifecycle I host, spirochete reacts to...but often do not.
If the spirochetes learn to manage their environment and become dormant off and on this is a HUGE problem in my opinion, because then during treatment, no matter what you do, nothing....literally nothing can attack them.

I think the round body form is just the one we know of. I think that is more complex than that. Does it turn in round body form when is attacked by herbs? So instead of stopping or continuing the protocol you must up-grade systematically with more killing and immune support herbs.

I think the more one gets deeper in the treatment the more the spirochete dive deep in the body to stages we really do not have knowledge of.

yes. that 3HumpedCamel I and convinced 100%. It is a lifestyle that you have to purse for the life of you for many of us. I KNOW that my previous lifestyle (athletics and food) protected me from getting arthritic lyme.
I do not think you can take a break if you have not positively eliminated the lyme from your body. This is a KEY factor because there seem no way to find out with modern system of analysis and testing.

I had come to the conclusion that it would go dormant, inactive, and then flare up again.

My experiments with light show that I can go several weeks without any problems, but sooner or later the problems return. So, do my light treatments every day.

Hopefully, I will out last the disease.

I did read an article on ubi put out by the NIH in 2013 where it mentioned that light could kill bio-films. How long this would take- I don't know. Dinshah said one month of treatment for every year of infection. If so I still have many years to go.

However, he didn't do anything with uv even though he thought it had healing power, he was satisfied with his light treatment. I have combined the two.

But what if the bacteria is disguising itself to look like our body tissue? Then the best we can hope for is our body function is able to operate well enough to overcome the symptoms of the damage, but not the bacteria causing it. Which seems to be what 'remission' is anyway.
Or else our body would have to be tricked into attacking what it perceives as itself.

This is a fascinating post and very helpful. I was wondering the same regarding building up immunity vs. killing bacteria. Also wonder if I screwed up by taking Doxcy for a long time. Perhaps made them all go into hiding. I had very healthy lifestyle before and had healed from auto-immunes I had in earlier days (EBV/Hashimotos) wonder if they will show up. One interesting thing is that I haven't had a fibromyalgia flare up since being bitten. I would have one every three to four months. Curious to see if I get one.

No, there are no tests available to know what portion of your Lyme bacteria is in which stage.

The Lyme bacteria has 3 forms it can turn into - the spirochete form, the round body form (often called cyst form), and the L-form or spheroplasts.

The spirochete form is the one that is found immediately after infection, in our blood. It has a tail the helps it to move through the veins and tissues - and even bones - in our body.

The round body form, or cyst form, is the one that's so hard to kill, and exists in tissues.

I'm honestly a little lost on the spheroplasts though. There's no one good article on these forms, so I've had to just keep updating my understanding as new research comes out.

Can I ask something about this 28 day cycle Lyme has? I do experience pain variation cycles myself. However I now see a doctor who is considered one of the best in the world and he has categorically denied any evidence for this cycle. Instead has suggested this is related to our hormones. My own diary since then seems to side with this.
I might be wrong because it all rather scientific talk but I think the jist of the explanation was something along the lines of each single spirochete will have its own timeline so how could they all have the same 28 day cycle? In other words surely we should be flaring every day?
I too can begin to guess from previous experience what days are going to be bad regardless of treatment or not. Which maybe makes me think over activity of immune system on these days? Either that or the hormone peak/dips cause certain environments more/less favourable to the bacteria.

Traveler I believe Dr. Zhang and others doing research now describe Lyme in 2 forms either spirochetes or persisters. Would "cyst busters" still be needed given we don't talk about cyst forms or are they just doing something effective we don't entirely understand.

I am trying the system boosters on Buhner's protocol first and foremost. I guarantee that is the part of treatment i was lacking.

I didn't truly understand the cytokine storm. I had heard the term, but reading Buhner books has been an awesome light bulb.

i feel the UVLrx is doing it's antibacterial thing, and also helping my immune system.

I created a spreadsheet with the protocols for mycoplasma, bartonella, babesia & lyme. Mycoplasma was found + on my latest blood work, so I am beginning there.
