So, if anyone remembers my last post, hehe.
- My boyfriend did get antibiotics for 23 days, and it's now a bit over a month since he finished those (or around that time)

He doesn't want a llmd - I can encourage him to get one, but I cannot force him.. What's your thoughts about this? Cus I'm scared things will get worse, if he doesn't get the treatment a llmd would give him. I really need your advice.

He can do herbs and do it without a llmd.

Pros -
You are in control
Easier on kidneys and liver
I feel it is a more individually designed treatment

Cons-
Herbs can't be run through insurance
You have to read and study on the herbs, side effects, etc.
You have to stay on top of dosing.

Mrs I healed on herbs. If I can do it surely anyone can. I was a super healthy eater and great on herbs if I felt a cold coming or was exposed to flu, etc. But I stunk at taking anything daily- meaning vitamins. So learning to take herbs 3 times a day was difficult for me.

I had to get a bottle for the lunch dose so I could be more portable.

Eventually I got everything all worked out and arranged and then I got well. This makes me laugh because it was hard just doing something 3 times a day.

PeteZa : Haha, I guess it's just a habit. How long were you sick - when did you get sick, if I may ask?

- It's super difficult for me to see my boyfriend be sick, concidered he was a very active, fit guy. He just CANNOT handle not doing anything for so long.

Yes I am with PeteZa in this.
When I did abx it was ways easier to manage than herbs....
Herbs are difficult to manage and work differently, and you are experimenting on trial and error base too BTW.....

Mrs 777 have him watch under our skin ..might change his tune ...i wish i had taken care of this early ..now i have als like symptoms ...im not yet 40 and wish i could heal like pza with early caught infection

Abx are done by trial and error as well though..... no one knows exactly which abx will bring about help or not until they try them each, and each combination.

My protocol, like PeteZa, has been with herbs. I am entering the tenth month of working it as a tick borne infection with my 9th month on herbs. I don't have an LLMD. It takes some adjustments, and lifestyle changes, but eventually things shift - I find. If he hasn't already, I'd highly recommend Buhner's books. You can check to see if they have them in your local library. I tend to have to read them and re-read them because I forget what's in them. Coming here for questions, in my view, has been a life saver, perhaps literally not figuratively. I have found, with anything, that coming to friendly forums with veterans who have been at something a LONG time, or are super well read, well - much better than going to a Dr. SOMETIMES. More voices, more moral support (greatly needed - this is a trying illness), and cheerleading (there are those days when life truly s-cks) on occasion. Each person, I observe, finds their path.
