Lab result help

I am wondering if someone with some experience with this can help me sort out some labs

First, is Armin considered fairly reliable? Do people stand by what comes out of there or is it just like the rest of lyme land? AND HIT OR MISS

Are the ridiculously low immune markers always a sign of lyme or could they just be an indicator of what looks like a very active EBV infection?

Only 39 band positive on IGM (was not pos on ARMIN)

COMPLEMENT C4A 7816.4 (0-650) RAGING!!

Sed rates, CRP, ana.... and all those other tests were normal...
White count was on low end of normal...not deathly but not robust...

It is pretty obvious to me that I have an active EBV thing going on. I have been feeling like I have had mono this past month.
How much are these immune markers affected by lyme and how much by viruses?
How do I reconcile the difference in the one band with Armin and Labcorp? Do I just assume that since the 39 IGM that the lyme is active.... Any insights anyone can give me would be much appreciated.
And maybe everyone has a different take?

My doc feels very strongly that this is lyme ,,,, and about to put me on a whole pile of meds - just want to understand the testing first.......before I take the train to HERXVILLE!

Immune markers are affected by EVERY infectious disease we have.

Lyme is known to lower immune function though....

You had Band 39 show up as positive - did you have an IND's show up? Band 39 is highly specific for Lyme, as it indicates that BmpA (Bacterial membrane protein A) for Borrelia was found. It doesn't matter what lab it comes from when you get a positive. The labs like Quest and Lab Corp don't give the test enough time to "do it's thing" is why they aren't very good, not because you can't trust the positive results that can still happen.

As far as your negative on the Armin labs, the blood could have just been drawn at the wrong time - there has to be a lot of bacteria and a high immune function at the same time as the blood draw was done in order to get a positive result.

EBV can usually be treated with Lysine or pharma anti-virals.

My 39 was an IgM positive.
This would mean current active infection (not old Bb dormant hanging around exposure, correct? )

You have very, very low cd57, its correliate for chronic infection and cytokine infflamination.
I think it active infection, and your doctor is right, this is lyme.
