Hello!
I'd love a little insight, advice or solidarity. I have been seeing slow but steady improvement. I began Abx in January, along with every alternative therapy I could afford, big diet and lifestyle changes, all the good stuff.
(Boy, it's so hard to make this concise!)
Now, after 10 months of improvement, I suddenly find myself wracked in nearly intolerable physical pain. The pain is in my joints- even reaching and tapping an elevator button with my finger will make my elbow scream out in pain- and deep bone/muscle pain as if my whole body were one big bruise. I explain it like this- 'it feels as if I ran a marathon yesterday without a day's training.'
What confuses me, is that even with all my symptoms, up until now I did not have this sort of pain and I could always do some form of exercise. I always did yoga, walked, swam, hiked, did pull-ups even while dreadfully sick with neuro-lyme. It took me much longer to recover but I could still do it, and doing it kept me from going crazy.
Why now? Why when the infection was getting so much better? No other symptoms have returned. Was it because I got overconfident, and went on a one week press trip to Nebraska (I'm a travel writer, I thought I could return to work, I was wrong.) That one week of moderate discomfort (airplane travel, falling off diet, moderate stress) could send me into this acute of a tailspin?
And what in the world can I do to make it better? Exercise anyway ( fight through the pain) or try and remain completely still?? Any supplements, dietary recommendations for this type of symptom? Thank you all so much. I hope everyone has a happy and peaceful week.
