Stopped abx symptoms returned quickly what does that tell you?

So I stopped bactrim/biaxin/tinidazole for a week to give my body a short rest and ramp up on a new protocol. It took all of 1-2 days for my existing symptoms to get worse and a main symptom to get real bad 4-5 days. Given this experience can I assume I'm dealing with pathogens that have a shorter lifecycle like babesia and/or bartonella and not lyme since its a slow reproducer and symptoms should cycle every 2-4 weeks?

Hoping to gain some insight into using me as a human guinea pig for a week to further target treatment. I was lab positive for lyme and babesia duncani but not bartonella but have a few of the classic symptoms. Thanks.

didn't stop supplements the only binder i'm on in welchol.

Rikky that would make total sense if you were recently infected. But, if you have had lyme for awhile there are numerous stages of spirochetes in your body. Some new, some teenagers, some adults and some old ones.

Stopping treatment lets those that are not old and dying still continue with their cycle.

Did that make sense?

I also think that stopping treatment gives lyme that is in hiding in what they thought was secure places away from medicine now a chance to come out and "play."

Lyme love to go deep into tissue to hide and in nooks and crannies of joints.

my "progression" has been interesting. after starting treatment 6 months after infection i went hard after lyme and babesia (lots of antimalarials) for almost a year and never made much progress on my only real major symptom at the time head inflammation (sorry don't know what else to call it). LLMD decided this past jan to try going after bartonella and i've definitely made progress on the head issues but my chest "thumping" showed up big time once i started this and its only gotten marginally better since.

last few months i've been on bactrim which is effective against lyme, bart and babesia so now that i'm off it no idea what it was holding back. ramping up minocycline and rifabutin so we'll see but it just sucks not knowing what i'm hitting because that could change your approach like do i need an antimalarial again? i am on plaquenil but that's very weak against babesia from what i understand and not used as a front line med for it.

Wow, it seems you are throwing a lot at it. I wish I had answers for you.

I was on IV Cefoxime 2 g a day and was feeling already much better. Had to stop it after 3 weeks because of side effects and horrible gut problems. Doctor decided just to let me take a break from all abx for a week. I had back my sleepy leg in 2 days, brain fog in 3 days. Very quickly. I have a fresh bite from end of June.

I guess we just need to keep treating. I am back on abx but on low doses and still far away from feeling well.
