does anyone know which Lyme strains are specific to CA?

I'm meeting with a Infectious Disease doctor tomorrow and am going to question what strains they test for. But it's hard to find what they SHOULD be testing for.

I've already tested positive w/IGenex. My LLMD is Dr. P in CT but I'm in 'discussions' with Kaiser for them to recognize that I have Lyme so I can get my prescriptions and labs ordered by Dr. P through them vs paying myself. My PCP said they don't recognize Lyme unless I test positive w/the CDC test which I don't but agreed to refer me to an ID dr to talk further about it. And I'm just REALLY curious what strains they actually test for....

Dash-I'm in the Bay Area, San Jose to be specific. On my original Quest Test I tested positive for Band 30 which has one CA strain. On my Igenex test which was CDC positive I wasn't positive on that band so who the heck knows.

You are aware that ID Doctors are for the most part the leaders of the "Lyme doesn't exist" band, right? Unless you know that this ID doc is Lyme friendly your appointment will be extremely frustrating.

If you are in Northern Ca you can goggle the two Stanford Studies (2014, 2015) print them and take them with you.

I'd do a search and see if Kaiser has any Integrative Medicine Doctors. They may be up on treating Lyme and you'd be able to stay within your plan. Worth the time of a search.
