Just expressing an opinion and something to be aware of.
If your treating with antibiotics - I believe your going to need an extremely well protocol; which may include the correct, effective, and up to 3, antibiotics, for a very long duration of time.
Either go all out...or don't go at all.
Why?
Because the antibiotics can well shut off your immune system. So your leaving the battle to antibiotics, and mostly to antibiotics alone , rather than a healthy immune system functionality.
So if your shutting your immune system off, then it better be a good antibiotic protocol to get the job done without the support of a regular functioning immune system.Again, the duration, amounts, and effectiveness must be there as well.
So before you start an antibiotic protocol, I think it's important to have a whole set out plan, a doctor who knows extremely well what he is doing, the right amounts, the right vastness, and the right duration all at once to recover using this method. There is no predetermined amount of time you take the antibiotics and then lyme will just be gone. No one can tell you but proabably yourself if the lyme is actually gone.
I personally would be weary of a weak protocol that was only prescribed for a short duration. Lyme is very complex, and it will take a very complex antibiotic protocol to kill; especially when your using antibiotics at the expense of shutting down your immune system. Your handing off the battle to antibiotics alone. So it better be a good protocol. (i sort of repeated myself but i feel it's important.)
Just saying my thoughts in case this helps anyone.
