Oh I can so relate to the wanting the wine. Just make everything go away!!! I am the bookkeeper for the local fire department and you should have seen me redo every math problem I had. And, I was incredibly slow at it. I was so brain fog. And my thinking was so slow. I had a very hard time communicating. I would lose my train of thought mid sentence.

Just remember that killing off candida you can feel sicker. That yeast gets really angry when it has no sugar to grow on.

I think older ones like you and I know our bodies really well because we have more years under our belt. We can tell when stuff if wrong or right faster. I know I certainly grow more in tune with my body the older I get.

I don't think age has much to do with lyme. Weakness, yes, but not age.

Good news, you can eventually drink a glass of wine again. But, boy am I cautious now!! No more acting like a 23 yr old. LOL!!

Yes, very anxious. My husband now has lyme and gosh is he anxious. Poor guy. He has never been sick in all our marriage and he gets lyme. I think he has had 1 cold since I have known him and never has had the flu.

His way to cope with anxiety is to go for a walk. Mine was, take a nap. We all are so different. I also had a hard time with depression. I finally had to go talk to a doctor about it. She explained to me how people that are never sick and then get a very bad illness easily get depressed. That made it easier knowing I was "normal depressed." LOL

I had a little neuropathy, but it was tolerable. I think because I had such horrible head pain behind my ears, I didn't feel a lot of the other pains. I had like stabbing knives in the back of my head that were the worst pain I have ever had.

I grew up having migraines - remember the days before ibuprofen? I got my first migraine about the same time I started my periods. I swear I had endometriosis at age 15. I had horrendous cramps and aspirin was what they gave everyone in those days. Didn't work. I was so happy when ibuprofen came along. Anaprox was my life saver.

My lyme head paid was twice what a migraine was. It made me cry almost daily and nothing helped. I took narcotics and I didn't even fall asleep.... still with head pain.

Slowly those tapered off and one day, I went all day without the head pain. Oh my gosh! Euphoria. Then it just would come less often and less often until it was finally gone. It took the longest time for that to go.

My heart and my head were the most horribly affected by lyme. I got all the other stuff, but those 2 hurt so much the others seemed minimal.

I have heard of many different type of treatments working. I don't think there is a one miracle cure.

We just all have to figure out what works for us.

I have no idea, but lyme is such a pain in the neck, back, leg, head, arm, you name it!!!

There is no sense in lyme. I only got scared when it was in my heart and caused symptoms there. The rest of the time I had to resign myself to the mantra "it is just another stupid symptom."

I had to put God in charge of a lot of them so I would remain calm.

Now, poor hubby is going through this. It is horrible to watch. I honestly wish it was me. I am familiar with all those aches, pains and stings. I can do it and I hate to watch him learn how to handle them.

And that is exactly what you learn to do. You learn to handle them. Keep on detoxing and keep on treatment.

Lyme sucks! And there is no rhyme or reason to any of it. You can try and make sense out of a symptom, but in the end .... it is just stupid dumb doo-doo lyme.

What I did was this. I yelled "ANOTHER SYMPTOM." That made me feel better that I had announced it. And then I went about my business, which was usually another nap. LOL

I'mso sorry that your husband has it. Washe aware of getting bitten?

Hubby got bit a lot this summer and he told me not to worry they were mosquito bites. He did a huge amount of work on our property hauling off limbs, pine needles and just other junk yard waste. I wish I had of paid more attention to his bites. He made them sound so simple.....

Or did he get it sexually or kissing me?

I know it can be passe4d between partners. Do you live in the northwest, pine trees and all?

I am on the opposite coast in the good old pine state of Maine. Not the beautiful pines that you have out there though!
One of my daughter's lives in CA..San Diego.

I hope to get to visit my daughter in SD again. My chemical sensitivities more than anything make it hard to travel. I'm nervous about getting to Hansa in Wichita!

How long did it take for your malaise/brain fog to lift. Mine is worse after I eat. Like you, all I want to do is sleep, but sleep comes hard.

I can't imagine keeping a journal throughout all of this. Did you have digestive issues at all?

We don't use sugar either, no gluten and definitely organic, although not as strict about the organic part until I got sick. Of course all of that wine turned to sugar!
