anyone ever have one of their lyme/bart medications come back up?

So I took my medicine this morning all together because nothing interacts, the only meds i have in capsules are 1) a probiotic, 2)Prozac, 3) minocyclin, and 3) rifambutin (last two for my lyme and bart). Well as I was cleaning the kitchen I burped and all of a sudden I felt this sting in my throat like something was coming back up, i ran and drank and drank and drank water, but every time i swallow it hurts. More so the back of my throat than the neck part, but I could see some purple stuff at the back of my throat which i was able to spit out but it still hurts when I swallow, like the roof of mouth in the back and my throat. I am very very worried :/

Hi Saozemko, sorry not had that with any of the meds or herbals I have taken. Have you been taking these together for quite a while and this is the first time it happened or have you just started all or any of these ?? This will keep the post at the top and somebody with more knowledge on this than me will be along soon I am sure.

One thing with lyme and bart is almost anything can happen and as we all find our own way to heal we all react differently to certain medications and herbals.

It sounds to me like an extreme acid reflux incident. That used to happen to me sometimes, especially after drinking even water, if I bent over even slightly to do something.

Stomach acid will make that burning sensation.

I agree with Girlie about taking your probiotic with the antibiotic.

Are you doing anything to reduce the acidity in your system, like taking acv with the 'mother' in it, or drinking lemon water? Both of those steps change to alkaline once in your body and help bring you back to a more neutral ph balance.
