Wow good find! Depending how sensitive you are mold can be a tough issue to the point where some just find it easier to move. Hopefully you don't end up that route, but just throwing it out there. I don't know how experienced your friend is with mold but as i'm sure you can guess, like lyme, the issue is more complex than popular perception

The mold test is HLA - not part of 23andme. However, some docs don't put much stock in the HLA test. Dr. M.R. just released an article on mold. You have to pay 2.99 to access all his articles. The mold article is pretty good - gives treatment guidelines too.

Also, might be more beneficial to pay for the mycotoxin test through Realtime Labs. It's pricey though - around $700.

Some people are more sensitive to mold problems because of their genetic make-up.

Not sure if anyone has heard of the vsc.com test for mold and toxic exposures but you take visual acuity tests and it assesses you toxicity. It's pretty neat! I would check it out! My doc had me take recently...

I had testing done for mold and showed that I had the biotoxin mold illness. about 2 months ago I had our house inspected and treated for mold. They found mold in the AC/Furnace unit downstairs, which was really bad. Every time the furnace or air conditioner was turned on the mold spores were circulating in the air and into my body. I'm now tryng Modified Citrus Pectin and Silver Nasal Spray to remove the toxin. I tried GI Detox, but I'm not sure I can tolerate the clay and activated charcoal.

I'm not sure where you live, but Green Home Solutions did the inspection and treatment for my house. I was very pleased with there work. They use a non-toxic, odor free spray that kills the mold. They did an excellent job cleaning and treating the AC/Furnace unit. We also had a lot of dust that had built up in the AC/Furnace unit. So I was also getting dust mites along with mold spores. Feel better after doing it, but still have Lyme's, so I still have a lot to do to get Lyme's under control.

I took the VCS test, I had taken it in July and it showed no reaction for bio-toxins - so I am going to flow with that, it came down a slight amount, and that may be due adding stuff for fungus over the summer.
It did show the same for nutrition - that I have a nutritional deficiency - I think it must be my gut. Whatever is going on. This hasn't changed. I must not be absorbing things well. I've been doing things for good gut health, but perhaps I can do more, and glad I see a GI dude/dudette next week.

I am a little confused, does no biotoxins mean no mold?

This part of the report indicates it may be a factor in what is going on. I have been eating super well and take supplements.
