Yes, I'm a huge guinea pig myself... lol!
I wonder if some people get worse with abx because of a candida issue... Which is why I'm avoiding them right now, but definitely want to try in the future. I was trying to treat with herbals and just kept chasing my tail, do herbals have an effect on candida as well?
I'm really focusing on gut health now... I've lost a lot of weight from cleaning my colon for the past couple of days... I also took the plunge and finally cut out fruit (I'm dying inside, lol). I haven't cheated yet and hope that I wont.
Even since all of this, it doesn't look like my thrush has improved, unfortunately. I know it takes a long time, but I was hoping...
I also have yet to inform everyone that I was a smoker up until 3 weeks ago. I quit cold turkey and I feel so much better! I actually felt sick to my stomach when I smelt smoke the other day, it's like my body just knew when it was doing to me. I'm hoping that this will improve my candida as well.
Thanks for the links! I scored a 15 on the quiz
. I took long term minocycline as a teenager, ate sugary foods, gluten, grains, etc.
Haven't had a chance to read the first link yet.
I've been trying to cover all of my bases... So far I've done food, I'm working my way up on antifungals, I'm cleansing my colon (but not too much, apparently this can cause problems), quit smoking, alkalinizing... I feel like I'm missing something major. I have hormonal imbalances and my Dr. wants to put me on progesterone but believes that the candida will flare up from it. I've actually read some contradictory info on the internet about
this, some say that progesterone actually prevents candida.
