The LLMD gave me a PCR urine test and said I have to exercise for an hour before taking the test. I can't seem to find any information on the reason for exercise prior to the test. Does anyone know?

Are you sure he didn't say to NOT exercise for an hour before the test? Because otherwise it would be counterproductive. What I read said to avoid strenuous exercise before the test as it would affect the amount of protein in the urine.

That's very strange because the nurse said the paperwork says to exercise for 1/2 hour prior to testing, but it's better to exercise for at least 1 hour to make sure the test works. I'm going to have to investigate this. Thank you!

Yes, I would definitely be calling somebody, but just make sure who ever you talk to knows what they're talking about. I mean, I don't know I never had it, but I tried to read up on it when you asked.

Hopefully this will bump your question up to the top for more answers.

It took me awhile to find it...but I had remembered someone else mentioning they exercised before their DNA connexions urine pcr test - here's the link to the thread:

Someone posted it said to exercise in the instructions.
