No experience and only familiar with the stories of 3 members who went: Jernigan's

I say this because I've realized that it's the strength of the immune system that makes the difference between those dealing with symptoms....and those who are asymptomatically infected.

If we can heal the body from the ravages of the infections and make it inhospitable to the bugs, they will not be able to survive. This is the basis of Buhner's protocols.

And, Jernigan appears to accomplish this for his patients. It also seems like a major life shift that will require dedication on the part of the patient and I think we all do this in some way or another.

That's not to say patients wouldn't relapse because I am aware of those who have.

I think we all have the capacity to find healing but a personalized and directed treatment such as Jernigan's might be able to expedite things.

If money was no object ...id make a lyme center , organic cafe ,hotel ,iv room ,with abx ozone uvlrx ,mah ,curcumin ,msm, ala,phos ,artensuate etc etc) electro medicine room (plasma rife ) ondamed ,pemf ,),apitherapy ,herbal apothicary ,mhbot , detox room (colonic ,sauna ir,ozone sauna ,)foot baths

there is all the above in different places here ..and one that the shieks go to to have puppy therapy /spa etc.i only charge mirror treatment and will chauffer ?

Sierra sounds too good to be true , lyme mexico sounds tastie as they have ivig,
i hear there is one in jersey , dr k in washington , and then ya maybe jemsek ...
oh and maybe some stem cells in india ...and a stop by hansa for giggles

If I had unlimited money and time and if I didnt have 6 animals to keep alive I would go to four, and possibly five different clinics on a 'us lyme tour.' for about a year.

1) I would start by spending 8-10 weeks at Sierra Nevada Integrative Health as there seem to be quite a few success stories from here. I like their comprehensive daily approach and the idea that you can make good progress in a short time with follow up home care as well. We have a fellow member here at Healing Well who will be going in February.

2) I would then spend another 8-10 weeks at Envita in Arizona for more intensive daily treatment with ozone and ABX.

3) Next I would go to the Hansa Center for a four week 'tune up' This place seems like more of an adjunct and doesnt really strike me as an effective stand alone treatment, but I believe some of their methods of detox may be helpful.

4) I would Then go down to florida and spend 10-12 weeks at life works wellness in clearwater, followed by another 12 weeks at Sponaugle Wellness which is nearby.

If i still was not in remission I would go to Germany for 90 days and visit Dr. Bettina Worle who uses biophotons and some other non FDA approved methods that are not available in the US but are available in Germany. I would also consider lyme mexico.


These are actual daily treatment clinics where you stay nearby and are treated 5-6 days per week on site, but of course you still have to arrange somehow for long term accommodations and plan meals which is very difficult to do if you happen to be living out of a hotel for 3 months. You would probably need some kind of extended stay suites complete with a full kitchen. Maybe you could find someone on Air BNB who would be willing to let you stay for an extended period. But again if we're talking unlimited money you could just rent a place on a month to month lease, but then you have to worry about furniture and getting utilities set up. The logistics are quite daunting when you get down to it.

Ideally, what Lyme patients truly need is a full service inpatient treatment facility complete with boarding and meals where you would receive daily care and treatment for extended periods of up to 6 months or more. Unfortunately no such place exists for Lyme patients, which is a travesty in itself. If you have cancer or even if you are just addicted to heroin or alcohol there are numerous inpatient facilities that provide this, but if you have Lyme you are on your own.

Others have mentioned various LLMD's like Jemsek or Horowitz, but these are even more 'hands off' with you only seeing a doctor for an hour or so every 1-3 months, I think you dont get enough quality care with the amount of money being paid, not to mention all they really do is prescribe ABX which you can get from any number of LLMDs all across the country for a lot less. Even though these 2 are considered the best Lyme doctors in the country, they both seem to have very high failure rates. Looking on the net you can find many stories of people who have failed their treatment or have been treating with them for multiple years without any improvement, and very few if any that claim success using their methods. There is no way Horowitz has the 92% success rate that he claims with so many of his failure stories out there, but he apparently isnt taking new patients anyway.

If I were going more of the LLMD route I would go with Dr Phillips in New York, Or Dr. Jaller in Maryland.

can't stress the truth of this enough. its amazing there are enough people sick with this disease that some center with all the methods described above doesn't exist.

logmoss - I agree that it's crazy that there aren't any in patient clinics but we have found one in Germany that we are seriously looking at, St. Georg Klinik. Right now it's our #1 choice. Being able to stay there is a huge advantage.

He is in CT and last I heard his available appts are 14 months out.
