Mepron, Zith and Septra will get lyme and Babesia. The Septra and Zith have some action against Bart...but not sure if that's enough. Rifampin might be needed.
Ugh, I can't believe I'm going to have to go back to THE Dr J of pediatric lyme and question him on whether this is enough for Bart! He initially wanted to wait on treating until all the bloodworm came back (about
a month after appointment) but said that if anything changed as the results trickle in they would call me. So far, I have only seen Labcorp testing which actually seems okay for the 5 year old with anxiety. I called and emailed when I felt the anxiety was getting worse and I asked them to start the antibiotic trial. Then when they called back, the nurse said that he was prescribing it based on her bloodwork. I asked her if she had gotten Igenex or Galaxy back because I had only seen Labcorp and she said the specialty labs weren't in yet. I'm not sure why he's going after Babesia heavier than Bart. I have a telephone conference set up for 2 weeks. We'll see.
After all is said and done, I may need to take my kids at least the ones appearing to need treatment to Dr. J in DC. I've been mostly a stay at home mom for the last few years because my husband's job is demanding in hours but also pays well. It just made sense for me to be home more since the jobs I was taking trying to be family friendly paid next to nothing. The last year, I started teaching here and there more to keep my resume active but they did pay me a small salary. Basically my whole part-time salary is going to Lyme treatment. I think I am also going to send my husband and both my parents who also picked up Lyme on our ill-fated Hamptons vacation to Dr. J clinic in DC. You can't put a price on health but when you pay so much money and you are still left questioning.
