Does anyone do Buhner's Lyme AND Bart protocols together...at the same time?

I have both issues but don't know which to start with or do them together???? Help!

I would start Lyme first. Japanese knotweed. (it's part of both protocols)


See how that goes...

I don't know the 'newer' lyme protocol...just the old one...

There are lots of people on here that do...and they will post and give you advice.

As Girlie stated there are many members that combine protocols. If you haven't done any herbs at all, you want to start slow and with 1 herb. Once you get the drops up a bit, add in the next. I personally do several protocols/herbs that hit on different infections.

Now some of the herbal lines like Beyond Balance and Byron White may have formulas where some of the ingredients may be found in more than one formula. For example, I take a BB formula for myco and one for EBV/HHV6 and there are a few of the same ingredients in both formulas.

Thanks....I started JKW earlier this week. I think my worst symptoms are bart related so I'm fighting starting w/the Lyme protocol. Good to know I can mix them all together tho.

Dash you can most definitely do both in fact you can pick and choose depending on what you are trying to accomplish. All the outcomes are in Buhner's books. I'd start with a few non-killing, immune modulating/supporting herbs like JK and then you can feather in one killing herb at a time. What seems to work well for Bart (and other stuff!) is Houttuynia. Here's something I wrote up that summarizes the major actions of many of the Buhner herbs hope it helps:

Herbs and their Benefits

Japanese knotweed - antibacterial, antiviral, immunomodulator, immunostimulant, capillary stimulant

Sida Acuta - antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiprotozoal, antiinflammatory, hematoprotectant

Isatis - antibacterial, antiviral, antiinflammatory

Houttuynia - antibacterial, antiviral, antiinflammatory, immune booster

Alchornea - anti-bacterial/fungal/microbial/viral/protozoan/malarial/oxidant/inflammatory

Hawthorne - heart health

Rhodiola - antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant, immune booster

Ashwaghanda - immune booster

Cordyceps - antibacterial, antioxidant, immune booster

I just realized knotweed isn't a killer so to speak. Well what in bruhners core is??? I'm doing green dragon and it is: jkw, cats claw, eluthero( or andrographis) plus d. Lion...

I'm just thinking I may be missing something ...

Japanese knotweed has anti microbial properties so it does some kiling.

I did Buhner's lyme protocol and then at the end I added in Houttuynia for the Bart. I also added in Cryptolepis for the Babesia.

And while doing all of this was still doing Beyond Balance BB-1 and then BB-2 and Tox Ease GL.

Plus supplements up the kazoo and good organic food and detoxing all day long.

Yes this did work for me.

I was infected April 29, 2015. I was not diagnosed until the end of July and then did antibiotics for a month. I got sick on those so I started herbs September, 28th, 2015. I stopped all herbs on July 27th, 2016.

I started getting strange feelings about a month ago, so I began taking Japanese Knotweed and Red Root. My body seems to really like those herbs. Still doing really well.
