Like others said, depends on your symptoms and how bad those symptoms are. And what you like to do.
Like Clint Eastwood said "A mans got to know his limitations" ha ha...but its true with lyme.
I'm addicted to outdoor life so not able to do much physical stuff was very depressing - the direct opposite of my "old self". I went from very physical to one point not able to walk around the block with out days of pain after. In my low I still tried real light exercise in a gym in the "off" hours, I felt like a cripple - I kind of was though.
Messed my shoulders up from 6 laps in a full size pool - so you need to do trials of physical stuff if you have muscle pain. I have not tried it again. I should, but only 2-4 laps, when the pool's empty.
I watched more movies when in pain, well, slept though half of them . Now I can watch them again! Couldnt read with lyme brain- I'd get all lethargic and sleepy, this is still kind of difficult. Watched a lot of u-tube stuff, documentaries ect, outdoor shows. I eventually started a seasonal home side business - all on my terms, my extra time and it paid for lyme bills. It is somewhat fulfilling and I liked it. Never had time to do it before so I re-stared an old thought. Oh, I have a guitar...and I suck at it LOL!!! But I did make some improvements. Its hard on my fingers though. So only 20 min at a time.
Fished from a friends dock in the sun- in a nice chair LOL
Winter was tough when I couldnt ski, so I bought snow shoes and went into the woods 5 years ago - fun and new. Only went a 1/2 mile first time, it felt weird, different muscles than normal walking. No I can go a few miles and its easier on my body than "heel strike" walking on hard surfaces.
You will get better, it takes time, but be careful if the critters are still in you. Look at it as a challenge - its the only way to see it.
Now I can finally max out at the gym once a week without injuries - this was new this month, I'm sore after, but not in pain, I'll see how it goes. Just rode my bike 5 miles in the snow, feel good, no pain. Yay. Hope to work up to a 30 mile ride this summer on my road bike, have not done that in 20 years. I did 20 four years ago and limped 2 weeks.
