How were you tested for heaving metals? I was told to do a provocative urine test (taking something that would provoke any metals) and then send in for results. Im skeptical though because I have silver fillings...isn't that dangerous!? Looking for safe, effective ways to test. Is fish safe to eat?

Also, is heavy metals a common problem with lyme...and could it be causing the head drunk feeling? Or is that just Lyme lol.

I have several amalgams...so I'm wary of doing a test or even treatment that pulls more out of my teeth into my system.

I can not have them all removed....on the 'off-chance' that it will help my healing.
It would be thousands for me to travel to a biological dentist - several times and have them removed.

I remember a ND talking to me about a hair test ...but not sure if that's what is done anymore...probably not.

I know neurolyme can cause the head drunk feeling...
i'm thinking mercury toxicity probably has that as a symptom as well.

Yeah-my ND gave me the pill for a provocative test knowing I have fillings--but I just feel like that isn't safe.

I did metals treatment thru Chris Shade's method... his was a 3 prong test... blood, urine, hair if I remember correctly. It was the most effective for me as far as treatment also. His Qube detox. I got rid of the problem everywhere but my thyroid, and we're working on that now, albeit a different way with different doctor.

Metals clearly can be a major health issue-one that anyone with a chronic condition should be tested for. Work with a doc that knows how to test for metal even if you have silver in your teeth-make sure your doc knows about the fillings. Probably more important to test of you have silver fillings-they could be leaching metals into your system

Metals could be the reason why your body is having trouble fighting off the lyme and other.

When you speak of silver fillings you are referring to fillings which are 50% mercury which is very toxic. I did a detox program of Dr. Tom McGuire which worked very well for me. I believe root canal teeth are worse since they can be a source of various forms of bacteria. Dr. Price studied the problem years ago. Your teeth can make you very sick.

Hi, Girlie. No mercury amalgams. We got our mercury problem living in a house with a mercury spill that was never cleaned up. They moved the gas meter from the basement to the outside of the house and never cleaned up the mess, nor did they move the meters properly... it was quite a conspiracy around where we live. We just rented the wrong house...

Not to highjack this post but I actually just received results from Doctor's Data today for heavy metals with a provocation and my Lead is 7.2 (ref. <2) and My mercury is 9 (ref < 3).

For Lead it states:
This individual’s urine lead exceeds three times the upper expected limit per the
reference population

For Mercury:
This individual’s urine mercury (Hg) far exceeds the expected level for the general population under
non-provoked conditions.

I noticed under Mercury it says "far exceeds... under non-provoked conditions". I'm still waiting to hear back from my Dr. on next steps, however does anyone have an idea how "bad" these numbers are?

It seems like I'm off the charts high, I just want to know if anyone can relate with similar results.

Pollution of our environment is a big problem. Next to amalgams the biggest source of mercury is eating fish. It is important to choose the right source of fish since many of the fish have high mercury levels.

TymeToKillLyme, my lead was always fine... my mercury levels from Doctors Data were 49 the first test. My husband was 38. Like I said, my issues were from a house issue, not fish and not amalgams.

I eat fish now, and I have absolutely no issues with mercury levels changing on these tests. I need to get it out of my thyroid, but that is tricky... we are working on it. I have not been retested since I started treatment, but treatment has only been going on 1 month... I can say that I think I feel better and I do not get a reaction from taking the mercury concoction anymore most days.

Wow 49. Yea that puts things into perspective. Also my Doc finally got back to me and said it's only slightly elevated, nothing to worry about and just detox as normal. The descriptions in the Drs Data report caused me to worry though.

My LLMD looked in my mouth at first visit and told me to get the silver out. My dentist took care of that easily a few weeks later.

The urine testing for heavy metals came back mid range for mercury and off the charts for lead (wth!)

A minor amount of a couple of others he noted would possibly from MRI for example, which I've had.

I'm pulsing DMSA 3 on 11 off and binders should be helping pull off.

Ya'll it is a real pain in the butt trying to time the stuff that cannot be taken within x of another! I feel like I'm clock bound lol!
