The following comments are my opinion and opinion only based on research and hypothesizing on potential issues that may arise.
Lipases are pancreatic enzymes that help you digest fats. The pancreas is a very high blood flow area and I feel it is prone to injury from blood dyscrasias and abnormalities. When we have high amounts of pathogens, our levels of copper in the blood can increase while the level of intracellular copper can decrease. This is done by our immune system to create more free radicals to help kill pathogens. It helps us, but it hurts us at the same time. The abnormal concentration of copper can alter our blood dynamics and make our blood more prone to coagulation, like Rouleaux. This interrupts blood flow in capillaries and other areas where the blood vessels are small. The pancreas would be a great place for this to occur.
I have never had this issue but if I were to investigate what would improve my condition, I would start liposomal lactoferrin to help reduce any biofilm formation that could impede pancreatic blood flow. Lactoferrin controls the amount of free iron in the blood and helps transfer iron into cells. Iron is very beneficial to pathogens and probably increases their virulence more than any other element. Lactoferrin also has antimicrobial effects. It can bind iron, copper, or any other metal with a similar electron configuration.
We often talk about the negative cycles that the body gets into from constant inflammation from infection. It makes the body more acidic and this lower pH significantly decreases your body's lactoferrin's ability to bind those metals. Eating alkaline foods may help raise your pH to levels where your biological systems function like they were intended. These systems are pH driven.
I would eat organ meat a couple times a week if possible because lactoferrin is composed of phosphotidylcholine and if you are having lipase issues, that may mean you have a Kennedy Pathway issue which is the process for making cell membranes and phophotidylcholine. Eating organ meat may help replace the deficiencies that you have and allow the pathway to function more normally. Organ meat does have fat, so you will have to go about it slowly to not aggravate your condition. I'd probably supplement with lipase on the days I ate it.
