"Why does it feel like the more I sleep which is all I'm doing literally no tv nothing just laying in bed for 48 hours now the more tired I get?"
Our adrenal system is what keeps the motor going in our bodies - through thick and thin. It's what provides the adrenaline rush when we meet up with a stressful situation or our immune systems have to fight something off.
But, the adrenal system was designed to pump out adrenaline and then relax and rebuild reserves - not unlike a rain water reserve… can only refill when all of the weather systems evolve into a condition that allows it to rain.
Modern life is inherently stressful - in several ways. When we live day in, day out, with a high level of stress that requires a sustained level of adrenal function to help you "get through the day" those reserves are continually at lows.
Toss in this horrible disease and then the overwhelming treatment… our stress reaches dangerous levels.
And many of us here, certainly me, have discovered that the more we slow down, the more the adrenal system slows us down. So, when you literally do nothing or sleep, often it's the adrenal systems chance to finally take advantage of the lack of demand to help rebuild reserves. This is a good, necessary thing. I think it's usually a good idea to give into the fatigue and rest as much as you possibly can (although the purest version of adrenal rest is to also avoid anything that might excite you or trigger psychological responses - like reading a dramatic book or watching an action film…)
It is possible to sleep too much. But I don't think that applies in your situation.
