Bart rash?

Does this look like a Bart rash? Despite negative test results, I'm treating Bart currently as I have many symptoms.

about the rash - it comes and goes on the sides of my abdomen. When it fades, the skin gets dry and flaky. It pretty much disappears eventually. Then, of course comes back.

Assuming it's a Bart rash, does anyone know anything about why it comes and goes?

Also, it has a vertical orientation. My LLMD always says bart rashes are normally horizontal.

Sure looks like a Bart rash to me. Mine usually show up only when I'm in treatment, and will come and go as well. We can only assume the why's as to it's coming and going -but the most common theory is that it's just due to the different level of bacteria and toxins at any given point in treatment. Some have the rash stay with them the whole time they have the infection, some never see them.

Anne - I have seen photos of bart rashes that are vertical...so no, they're not always horizontal...

I was writing my post when you wrote your second post, so I didn't see that!

I've had both vertical, horizontal and somewhere in between! They never show up when I'm not infected, so I know they are from Bartonella.

Gonna agree with the others. These rashes aren't always horizontal… or "always" anything. I don't know why medical specialists make claims like this. I've seen more bizarre skin manifestations attributed to bart than anything else. And none of them look anything alike.

Of course, there is the likelihood that "bart" is a broad term being used for many different infections that we're not even aware of. So I guess we should say "bart-like".
