The feeling in the back of my head is different. It never stopped, felt like someone was massaging my brain, but not in a good massage way. I know this is hard, but try your best to relax and not stress out over these weird feelings, that will only make the chest pains worse.
I bought the book "Healing Lyme, Second edition" by Stephen Buhner from Amazon. He has a website that shows the basics. http://buhnerhealinglyme.com/ (look in Core Protocol tab) You can also learn a lot about his protocol by reading his questions and answer tab, and also on this forum. There are a lot of people here that have used his protocol.
I just felt like I needed to do something, since from what I have read, the dose of Doxy we have been put on, is not what we need.
Before I started the Doxy/herbals, I really felt like I was dying, that everything was just shutting down. I had even wrote my goodbye letter's to my family. I've been on both for almost a month, and I am feeling better, in no way close to normal, but better. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the meds or if it's just the symptoms coming and going like it does with Lyme.
The chest pains and palpitations have almost quit, my brain feels a some clearer. In fact, I was just thinking last night driving home from work, for the first time in about a year, I actually felt like it was me looking out of my eyes. That may or may not make any sense. I have low BP, and feel like I'm going to pass out when I stand up. I have noticed that has improved also. I've still not got any relief from the constant headache (24/7) since last June, and the stiff neck (always, but sometimes worse than others), but I can tell a difference from a month ago.
I don't know enough about all of this to give any advise, but I will tell you what I'm taking. You just need to do your research, and ask a lot of questions on here before you do anything. I know you have to start low and slow, and start with one herb at a time to see if you will have any side effects from them. (So far, I've not had any ill side effects)
I'm taking: Japanese Knotweed, Cat's Claw, Andrographis, Ashwagandha, Cordyceps, Gou Teng, Kudzu, Vervain, plus other vitamin/supplements.
Again, I'm doing this on my own, and am new to it. I have seen dozens of doctors in the past year, but none that knows anything about Lyme, so I know I'm kinda gambling by self medicating. I've just not found a dr I trust yet, but I do trust some of the advice I have received on this forum.
