Dc thats what I have been worried about, I was going to go to the hospital last night during the early hours but decided I would wait another day and see how it is. I am feeling really down and strange but think its the worry. I have been getting muscle cramps almost daily in both calves too, have been putting magnesium oil on in the evenings and that has helped slightly I think, in that they are not as severe.
It it was something like that Dc it wouldn't let up would it ?? It would just get progressively worse ??
I am not feeling good at all today, really tired and weepy but think that is due to being worried about what this is as well as trying to balance work around my illness which seems to be creeping back.
They may not get worse in every case. It depends a lot on whether it's in a larger artery or a branch off vein.
I do get blood clots, or was, quite frequently. And the area behind my left knee is right where I got them first. Most of the time they will dissolve with no medical intervention other than chewing an aspirin. I've been to the e.r. quite a few times with them but since these were in the smaller veins they only kept me once. I haven't gone now for about
4 years. I'm supposed to be on a low dose aspirin a day to prevent them. Lyme is known to thicken the blood.
Also, try to keep your legs somewhat elevated or at least straight out rather than bend at the knee when you're sitting. Even at a desk.
If the pain happens to get very severe don't try to 'walk it out'. Chew an aspirin and consider going to urgent care.
