I am so sorry it took so long to get back to you guys. Anxiety is killing me, unfortunately.
Astroman, this stuff is very confusing especially when the brain cannot comprehend much info. Addressing these issues hasn't worked out for me.
Pirouette and ccc-better, my LLMD is an ILADS doctor and has no understanding of methylation problems. I have been seeing a functional chiropractor and did have the 23andme test done. He has been working on my issues for a few months but I seem to react horribly with his treatment. He was working on the pathways one at a time but with bad results for me. When I suggested to go slower on the supplements he had a meltdown over the phone. Not cool. For awhile I was cutting the supplements to thirds but felt guilty so I upped my dosages faster than I should have. Shame on me....I know better.
At one point I was alternating B12 with hydroxocabalamin and methylcobalamin along with taking B6. I have no idea why he changed to the B-Specific. I am supposed to see him in another 1 1/2 weeks but may stop treatment altogether. I am very disappointed especially with the high amount of money that has been paid out. Right now I am not taking any B vitamins until I get this figured out.
Pirouette, I have a 50% reduction due to other mtr snp's.
PeteZa, the 23andme results were interpreted but I still can't make heads or tail of it and also too afraid I might get it wrong. It seems everything I try to do just backfires. And, believe it or not, I don't know how to download files.
Here are some of my snp's: I know I am working at 70% for gluten intolerance and 50% for lactose intolerance.
ABP1: 1 variant on ABP1 (rs 1049793), working at 90%
HNMT: 1 variant on rs1020678, 1 variant on rs134992, 2 on rs1455164, 2 on rs1455164, 1 on rs1580111, 1 on rs3100701, 2 on rs003891, histamine clearing 77%
ACAT1-02: 1 variant on rs3741049 which is the most significant snp
SLC16A1: 2 variants on rs7169, 1 variant on rs3849174m rs12028967 andrs4301682
NDUFS7: 2 variants on rs1142530, rs7258846 and rs809359 and 1 on rs2332496, working at 13%
SOD: 1 variant on rs2758331 and rs4880, working at 70% (detox ability)
Glutathione: 2 variants on SHMT2 (rs34095989) and 1 onCTH (rs1021737), states Glycine/SHMT is at 0%
FOLR1 (adult) (rs2071010) no variants for folate receptor sites
DHFR (rs1643649) 2 variants, varians here will indicate the need for methyl folate and PRO NADH. BHr support and glutathione support may also be needed. SO my DHRF is at 0%
SHMT2: 2 variants (rs34095090)
MTHFR A1298C (rs1801131) 1 variant
MTHFR c677t (rs1801133) 1 variant " It is currently theorized that the c677t impacts the methionine cycle more significantly while the A1298 impacts the BH4 cycle. If this theory is correct, those with c677 would need more support in reducing Homocysteine while A1298c may need more support with creating BH4 and preventing NOS uncoupling. Nonetheless, there is usually a need for folate with these variants. However, to be sure, ehcking the urine organic acids can confirm, and can also be used as a measure when adequate levels aare reached when supplementing. With two MTHFR variants, there is a good chance of need for folate, but using the urine organic acids test to vserify may be helpful, as some people can compensate. If this is two copies of c677t, there may be more need for methylation support, and if both copies are A1298c, there may be more need for BH4 support, and if one of each, both pathways may need more support."
MTR A2756G (rs1805087) 1 variant

Well, there you have it. At the end of the report it is stated tha tmy findings may suggests that lowered energy production in the Krebs Cycle and may be a factor to chronic lyme. and maybe nutritional intervention of carnitine, choline, NADG (whatever that is), CoQ10 and pantethenese might be useful??
OK, I am dying. That's all there is to it!!!!!! Gosh, does anybody have a clue? All I want to know is what B vitamins to take for now.
For anyone who has read all this thank you very much.
