I found this topic in an older post, from 2015. However I'm bringing it back around as I am needing some suggestions. blush
I have found with all the other Bizzare symptoms of they where not enough. Now??? This strang (can't stand myself) body oder. Help!

I have this every time I'm in treatment!! I've never been able to be sure if it's the herbs or the detoxing that's causing it, but man oh man!!! I'd run most anyone out of the room if I didn't shower often enough or use (LOTS!) deodorant daily!

With the timing of it all though, I would venture to guess it's my body detoxing that I'm smelling. I only wish it had chosen a nicer odor!!!

Hahaha! "I only wish I'd choose a nicer oder"! Now that's funny. I love being able to keep a sense of humor.

Well I do pray it is from detoxing!

Good deodorant??? And showers!

I have also removed lots of things that I used to use in the shower - I only use soap, shampoo, and conditioner (if I want to comb out my hair!). That has helped some.

It also has something to do with the foods I eat too, although I haven't quite tracked that down much. I'm too tired to change much in my kitchen, but I think that the more I eat those foods with antimicrobial effects (like onions and garlic) seem to make it worse. Makes sense to me though, they are 'adding some' to my treatments.

So, speaking of deodorants, does anyone have a mostly natural, non-antiperspirant deodorant that they really like? I've been using the crystal-type deodorant. It's better than some I've tried, but some days, I still really stink. :-(


Last summer, I bought some locally made natural deodorant at our farmers' market. I really wanted to love it, but it just wasn't enough to handle my toxic sweat!

I swear… I thought a homeless person was following me around until I realized it was ME!

I didn't have this odor before starting treatment. Then it was coupled with not being able to wash my hair but once/wk (I have an IV port, long story). I was horrified.

Then I Started treating bart aggressively. After the first couple of weeks of being bed-ridden w/ swollen nodes, stiff neck, and crashing a time or two, I finally got through the nasty herxing. And my lovely stink also improved… smelled like my old self. My mother's "odor" smells like baby powder so I tell myself that it is my odor, too, and this gets me through the day. I probably stink just like everyone else but oh well.

So, I still need to wear deodorant if I'm active and I'm still showering only once/wk but at least I can stand myself. The vanco really helped kill some bacteria harboring in the head/neck lymph nodes, and red root has been helpful in keeping the flush going. I attribute this progress to weakening my stink. ;)

Make sure you have your blood work done. My sister complained to me of smelling funny and she had her blood work done and is pre-diabetic. Her doctor said that her sour body order was a way of telling her that.

I used schmidt's deodorant sensitive skin - fragrance free for while and liked it. I do use an antiperspirant on rare occasions when I wear something super delicate or expensive.

One thing that I have used as a quickie for the armpits and other places is Swipes. I love the cucumber scent. The scent only last about a minute and it is cool and refreshing.

So this might be related to Bartonella only? Wow! That's actually good news for me! LOL! I'm treating Bart now - maybe I won't stink like this for much longer!!! We all hope!! LOL!

I make my own deo, from clear alcohol like vodka or PGA (not rubbing alcohol) and essential oils. You just have to reapply. Doesn't keep you from stinking, the alcohol just kills the bacteria that causes the odor. Not convenient, but it's as clean as you can get. And you can not spray it on right after shaving arm pits! Learned that the hard way.

I've read that lemon or lime makes an email xellent deodorant. Haven't done it though

piperwai is a charcoal paste I saw off Shark Tank. I'm in love with it. On my 2nd jar, my ex converted too.

I love this stuff. I used to use the others like Primal Pit Paste, Toms Natural, etc.
This stuff really gets rid of my stank.
I work out and I still can't smell myself.
I just wish the roll on version worked better. It got dry fast because it wasn't tightly sealed like the paste.
QVC has a deal on piperwai, I usually order directly from the manufacturer's site
smells so good.

It is detoxing/treatment for sure.

I never have BO. Even when I would work out for 1.5 hours. I thought there was something wrong with me. I would sweat but never odor.

The moment I went on Doxcy I really stank (Pirouette cracked up at your comments!).

Peteza is also on to something. LLMD was concerned about my pre-diabetic numbers revealed in blood work. I have never eaten sugar or processed foods - for the past 15 years I have exercised and eaten clean.

Well smell went away and last blood work showed pre-diabetic numbers back to normal.

My son is in heavy treatment now and has body odor. I also notice if I do extra detoxing it happens as well.

I never use deodorant. I shower and do a few drops of essential oils.

My pitts are smelling with this Babesia treatment. I am sweating more...so that's part of it...but it really doesn't smell like 'me'.

I never really smelled before lyme treatment either. Maybe if I exercised outside on a hot sunny day - I would have a bit of odor...but not like this...phew I can't even stand myself..
