Hello every1 well i hope all of u are well as for me i was on doxy azy and RIF and it made me worse what todo do if abx fail

How long were you on them?

You can change your abx or switch to an herbal protocol.

Can you give us more information?

Depending on how long you've been on treatment maybe you jumped into all the meds too quickly, built up a nasty and continuing herx... need to build up dosage slowly and make sure you can stay ahead of the herxing, otherwise it is constant hell. This is assuming that what you were experiencing was a herx.

There are also various other options like bluelyme and Girlie mentioned. But one has to have a pretty strategic approach when it comes to abx, piling on too quickly can be counterproductive, I think best approach is a slow and low strategy.

Well IV been on doxy for 2 months azy for 1 and RIF for10 days and idk ir its herx what really scared me is my left eye feeling a pressure burning irritated dry and like something is crawling un ir and numbness on my the left SIDE of my face so herx idk i did feel anxiety like i do when i herx

I'd suggest taking some days off, even a week from the abx, see if your body settles back down. If so, then that will be good indication this was a herx. Others might have different suggestions, and I'm no doctor, def run it by your doc and see what they suggest. But too much herxing not a good thing.

IV doxy - that has got to be a strong dose - what dose are you on? You do have to be careful with doxy as it can cause peripheral neuropathy as a side effect. That is what happened to me. Some people can't tolerate high doses. So doxy toxicity is what I would explore considering your symptoms...Fill us in more, I will keep watch on this thread.

Don't forget to detox regardless of the healing path that you choose. I always feel worse when I forget to. I hope you feel better!

I would encourage you to lower your dose for a few days, and increase your detoxing, include binders too for a few days. The timing is "good" for it to be a herx, and it's a safe assumption with your symptoms.

Thank you guys so much yes my doctor told me to take a break from the doxi and RIF and justo take azy thats what ill do for now see how ir works out

Keep us updated...you may need to stop the zithro as well if it is a herx.

Zithro has a really long half-life...so you're continually building up the level in your blood.
