Having some stomach and other issues and considering going to urgent care or ER but wanted to first check in here to see if anyone has had a similar experience...
Note: I'm currently on Rocephin and Mepron
A few days ago I started having a minor pain in my stomach. I had eaten some relatively spicy food the night before so thought that it may just be that. The next day (yesterday) the pain became a bit more intense (about
a 5 out of 10 so not too bad) and I started to pay a bit more attention to it because of the gallbladder issues that can come with Rocephin. By last night, the pain had increased a bit and was coupled with indigestion (excessive burping and gas which I don't often have) and mild nausea although my appetite was still fully intact. At one point I went to the bathroom and had a bowel movement. I felt better for about
the first 5 minutes afterward but then a very extreme fatigue/malaise/weakness came over me. This felt like the same fatigue/malaise/weakness I get when I am herxing. I was so tired that I couldn't help but fall asleep and when I woke up an hour later, I felt much better. I slept through the night just fine.
This morning I woke up and had the same indigestion/stomach pain/nausea and herx-like feeling. Although I had some nausea my appetite was just fine and I ate a full breakfast. One other symptom that seems to have come on today is that my skin is itchy/burning in a migrating way all over my body.
The pain I feel in my stomach is not terribly severe (6 out of 10 at worst) but just hangs around. Although it will be in one place sometimes (two days ago it was more in my mid/upper left stomach and last night it was in my lower right stomach...today it's more generalized) it seems to migrate around.
I would not be concerned if it wasn't for the stomach pain/indigestion coupled with the itchy skin and unshakable fatigue/herx-like feeling.
I feel like this could be just a herx or could be the first signs of a candida issue (I have religiously taken probiotics and eat very well with no processed sugars and very few refined carbs) or maybe even something else like signs of a gallbladder issue. Or maybe even a stomach issue completely unrelated to Lyme and my treatment.
Anyone have any similar experiences or thoughts? Always good to get insight from this community before subjecting myself to the urgent care/ER fiasco
Thanks in advance!
