I've been using Benicar for chronic inflammation for two years. I do not have a problem with high blood pressure. I did have to watch my blood pressure when I first started taking it because it would get kind of low. 80/60-70 range. After a few months that passed.
I tested positive for lyme in 2012 and relapsed in 2014. I started the protocol and it has been working for me. I take 20mg of benicar 5 times a day.
I'm not an expert on this protocol so I would not recommend this to anyone because everyone's LYME is different.
I think the protocol would work better for me if I could follow the diet but I'm a carbaholic!
Let me know if you have any questions.
hi modooley
I am also interested in using Benicar but I am scared as well. My vitD is very low. No matter how much I take it, it stays low. I have bone pain and muscles pain already. Do you think Benicar will fix it? Do you get any bone or muscle pain from Benicar? any other issue from Benicar?
thanksHi sp2000 - welcome to our community.
Benicar can lower vitamin d levels by inhibiting the conversion from inactive to active vit d
You don't want to take it if your d levels are already low.
Have you had your Calcium levels tested along with the parathyroid hormone?
Do you have Lyme disease ..or think you might?
