Hello! I had lyme and h. pylori 2 years ago, and recently had a relapse in lyme symptoms. I've had symptoms for the last 6 months unknowingly, thinking it was an issue with my stomach, but it hit hard recently. I was using colloidal silver, gse, and cat's claw with really great success, but it became too harsh for me and I decided to try the Buhner protocol. I am now up to 2000mg cat's claw and 2000mg resveratrol 3x day, 600mg andrographis 3x day, and 1 I think 500mg capsule of the eleuthero morning and afternoon.
The herbs are working great, but I feel like I may need to take them 4x day. Late at night my head starts to feel goopy and anxious again. My question is, is this too much of the cat's claw and resveratrol to take? I have ordered the book, but it will be a while to get here and this disease makes me a bit impatient. I figured I would ask the forum. I do feel that taking 4 pills at a time is more beneficial than 3. Thanks!

What kind of resveratrol do you take? I use tsp and can't convert to mg, but I can say that I am personally very sensitive and have to take baby doses of Japanese knotweed alone. If you can handle the side effects then I don't see the issue

I'm so sorry to hear this PeteZa!!! So do you think you have relapsed from both Lyme and h. pylori?
As far as the herbs, it's posted on the site that is based on his protocol for maximum dosages:
Cat’s Claw capsule (Raintree brand)
150 lb adult: 1-4 tablets 3-4x daily
I looked it up, and Raintree Cat's claw is 500 mgs per capsule, which would equal 2,000 mgs - so on paper you are within the 'limits', so it's more up to the way you feel when at the higher dosages.
The same amount is posted for JK as well, with 500 mgs of resveratrol in each capsule.

Traveler this thread is Peteza34 not me.
So in response to your inquiry Peteza34, you can take your herbs 4 times a day. One of our moderators went to a Buhner herbalist and was told that her dosage was not lasting all day and he suggested to go to 4 times a day.
I think what she did was go just a tad lower and added in one more dosage.
I am in remission, but last week I got a headache that felt different than a regular headache. I took 2 dropper fulls of Japanese Knotweed and was fine. I have not taken Japanese Knotweed in probably 4 months.
So it just goes to show you that everyone is different and dosages are totally individual. I could not take one drop of sida acuta or even one drop of eleutherococcus. Yet J/K is like water to me.....
If you suspect h. pylori you really should have a doctor make this determination. It is a bacterial infection and you will need professional advice.
You can start by taking a good probiotic. Dr. Axe says to take black seed, garlic, broccoli spouts, green tea and propolis. You should google and find his natural recommendations. I also would add in bone broth.
Stress needs to kept to a minimum. I think it is time to get a good LLMD, really watch what you eat and eat healthy and as organic as you can afford.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks for the replies guys. The situation with the pylori is complicated... The first round of antibiotics for it both failed and almost killed me. I tried a few herbal protocols for it, and eventually saw an acupuncturist who had me do an intensive herbal treatment with biofilm enzymes. I think that is probably what sparked the lyme relapse, but it was going to happen anyways. I think the pylori may be gone now, but yes I do need a retest. This lyme business kind of threw a wrench in the whole operation.. I am still taking a few anti-pylori things: monolaurin, broccoli sprout, garlic, and I think cat's claw is active against pylori, plus a good probiotic 2x a day.
