Can anyone recommend a good Lyme doctor who uses herbs and antibiotics?

There are many and it is a huge state. Are you north of the bay area? LA? or the valley?

If you need help, let me know. I am way up in Cali by Truckee/Lake Tahoe. We have a few members that go to the Bay Area for their docs.

I have a LLMD pretty close, by now he only take acute patients, no chronic..... And there is a LLMD in Sacramento, but he seems to treat initial bites, but if you don't have a CDC positive he is hesitant to treat. Anyway he was 2 years ago when I saw him..... hopefully he has changed.

The people that bought the place next door to us as their "cabin" have a daughter. She is about 8 and she came to my yard one day and said, "is this your cabin too?" I said, "oh no sweetie, we live her all year long."

It is nice to have temporary neighbors that only come once in awhile.

I love Echo Lake but have not been there in ages. We went to Fallen Leaf Lake last summer for a day trip. The water was so cold..... we plan on another day later in the summer when it is swimable.

PeteZa, did you ever see those landlocked salmon spawning in the outlet Creek below fallen leaf Lake in October? If not, it's quite a spectacle. Should be a good year with all the lakes being full.

Yes I have!!! Our lakes are super full now. And the snow is super deep up on top of the summits. It was finally a real winter.

Those kokanee salmon spawning are incredible and it is wonderful how they made Taylor Creek with such a nice glass viewing area. I love the bike path all around that lake and October the kids are back in school and it is a great time of year to visit that tourist area. Right now it is gorgeous and no traffic jams and you can get into a restaurant with no waiting.... but in 3 weeks -- it is a zoo with schools being let out.

We stumbled upon the kokanee spawn by chance a few years back. It was like Alaska with all those salmon and the Bears feasting on them. My dogs were going berserk swimming in a little pool with thousands of salmon swimming below.

My kids have a cabin near there and a bear broke into the home. Boy did he make a mess. He ripped the refrigerator door off from the hinge side. He obviously knew exactly what to do. He broke into the sliding glass door and did not break the glass. He ate everything!!! Including Ajax and dishsoap under the sink and then he proceeded to poop it all out. A horrible nasty mess.

They caught the bear as he foraged through the neighborhood, tranquilized it and relocated it deeper in the woods away from homes. Once they learn something they don't forget and they will teach their youngins how to get food from homes so you have to move them.
